Live from the Strip was a shocker to me! What an album! Personally, I had never heard of Kate Miner, but when her voice started coming through my stereo, I knew this was the best worship CD purchase I had made in a while (and I've made a few). Although I've been criticized for this, I place this CD even higher than Vineyard's "Hungry," or "Winds of Worship 12." (Both of these albums are excellent investments as well.) It was all we listened to for three weeks after we got our hands on it. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

I first heard this CD at a friend's house a few weeks ago and was blown away by the intensity and intimacy of the worship. I've bought many live worship CD's in the past, but this one is now my favorite (I've given away 5 copies already)! It brings me into the arms of Jesus and I've found incredible healing in the lyrics (especially "Hung the Moon" and "We Believe"). Thank you, Kate and David, for putting together such a precious collection of worship songs and for your incredible ministry! You are awesome in His hands! God Bless!

Kate Miner is obviously a spirit-filled worship leader. Having heard 2 of her songs from this CD from the last 2 SongDiscovery CDs, I ventured out and purchased this CD. WHAT A GREAT INVESTMENT! I hope she puts out chord charts soon! Modern styled music that anyone would love combined with God-breathed lyrics, this CD is sure to bring you in the throneroom.

This is by far my favorite worship CD. It has all the intensity of live worship and it doesn't sound like it came from Nashville (like everything else.). It may not be as flawlessly produced as the Passion CD's (though it does have great production) but Kate's honest vocal performance sounds more like she's focused on glorifying God to the best of her ability rather than being overly concerned with being "technically" perfect.

This cd is amazing! Having heard Kate lead worship many times, this cd always reminds me why I love her so much. The worship on this cd is so passionate and honest. What sets Kate apart is her transparency. At one service where she was leading worship, she set down her guitar and knelt before God in the midst of all the music. It was so powerful to know that the worship leader was truly worshipping and experiencing God instead of merely preforming for an audience. This cd may not as be polished as some others, but when I listen to it, I feel as if I can let loose and worship uninhibited. Thanks Kate for not forgetting that it is all about Jesus.

Kate visited our church in San Antonio early this year. I had never heard of her before, but sat quitely at she plugged in her guitar and started to play. And play she did...What I heard in her "Melissa Ethridge" style of music completely blew me away. She sang "Carry Me" and by the end of the song I was on my feet wanting to hear more. As a classic rocker from the 60's & 70's era, it's really great to hear some inspirational messages with a beat that makes you tap your toes, bounce your head and say YEAH!

David Miner [bass] could easily beat out most folk/countrymusicians based on his credentials alone [he's played with Dylan,Costello, T-Bone Burnett, Pierce Pettis, etc.] Derri Daugherty, as one of the more talented CCM lifers, comes with his own credentials as well [this is especially true in considering some of the work that he has done with the Lost Dogs]...Ultimately, however, the most important aspect of this recording is the level of writing on the original songs on this album. Kate's fortunate to have teamed up with Judie Lawson, who seems to have quite a knack for writing intelligent lyrics [on a worship album? maybe this project WAS a failure!] Thankfully this album manages to draw a bit of a distinction lyrically between humanity and God. i am not a fan of worship music, generally because it seems to be neither worship nor music but some sort of cheap attempt at writing "love songs" to one who might as well be no different than me...bleah...give me Cockburn's "Lord of the Starfields" any day...or give me someone like Kate who seems to mostly "get" it...

Live From the Strip is the best worship album I've heard in years. Miner's voice is superb, the band is incredible, but more importantly the worship is inspired and focused on God. It is truly wonderful! This album blesses me every day and is a must have.

It is without question one of the best worship albums I own!!! It's full of life and passion. Everyone should have this album in their collection. I was there both nights it was recorded and this album really captures how incredible those 2 nights were. Kate's voice is incredible, like no one I know. You will fall in love with it from the first song.

This is truly an amazing albulm! I was at the concert when it was recorded, and I tell you that the Sunset Strip in Hollywood never experienced anything like that before. I hear Kate all the time at Church and she always sings with the same passion and sincerity. This albulm really captured that. I was overseas when it was released and I had my fiancee send me a copy. I shared it with my missionary team and everyone on the team wanted a copy. It is now in India, Nigeria, Finland, Sweden, and Germany! It helped our team during our intercession times and ministered to many we shared it with. This is a must for anyone who loves to enter into the Lord's presence with music!
