I remember waiting in line all day long when I was in high school to see MSB live at Six Flags over Mid-America. That was almost 20 years ago, and I still love the music now just as much as I did then. This collection is terrific--it allows the beautiful melodies to come out, and the cover songs are great as well. Thanks Michael for the memories, and keep up the great work!

As a long time fan of Michaels music, and one of the musicans, I was truly honored to be a part of this record. I think it holds something for everyone and it's a perfect choice for those long summer afternoons when you are just kicking back. For me I pop it on as I take a long drive thru the Cuyahoga Valley. You know the cruise for you... I hope you all enjoy this record half as much as I did.

Listening to this gave me goosebumps...the good kind! I've been a fan of Michael's music since the beginning of MSB. HE has a way with words, and when he puts them to music, sings the emotions, there you have it. I absolutly love this CD!

As a former Northeast Ohio resident, I have been a Michael Stanley fan for over 20 years. Although all of the MSB albums are great, I can easily say that this double CD album gets played more often than any other in my collection! My favorite track is the acoustic rendition of "All I Ever Wanted" - Disk One, Track 10.

I have Loved Michael Stanley it seems like all my life. This Albums brings his best together. I got chills the first time I heard it. Michael, "Thank God for the Man that Put the White Lines on th Highway" and Thank God for You. You're music has touched my life in so many ways.

I grew up listening to MSB in northeast Ohio in the 70's - saw the band at local clubs, concerts (attended one of the 3 Blossom Shows where they had the attendance record) and was extremely pleased to see the acoustic versions - this version of "lets get the show on the road" is the best ever. Thanks for the memories.

I'm totally on board with the other reviewers--this is a GREAT CD. The version of "In Between the Lines" gives me chills. The sparse arrangement and instrumentation are a fantastic change from the studio version (from "Northcoast"). Like the other reviewers, I'm originally from the Midwest and was lucky enough to see MSB in the early 80s. It boggles my mind how few people outside of Ohio ever heard of him/them (I'm from Indiana and even there not too many people were plugged in). Now it's 20 years later and this stuff is still better than 99.99% of anything anybody ever recorded (especially nowadays). I've been a musician for over 30 years and am VERY critical about music, so I don't say this very often.

So yeah, this is kind of a mellow CD, but mellow can be good, too, sometimes.

Now, if you want to ROCK, check out "Northcoast." If I had to go to a desert island and could only take 1 CD, that would maybe be it.

The track "Let's Hear It" has gotta be one of the ultimate party songs of all time. I may just have to start a new band so I can cover it!

Great recording for all Michael Stanley fans, but it is different from the studio albums in that it is just acoustical.

As a teenager in Cleveland, who could escape MSB (not that I would ever want to!)? I have a couple of the MSB CD's already, and I recently heard this played on my launchcast station. I immediately added to my favorites, and looked up this CD. Wow. This CD reinterprets Michael Stanley's music. I almost didn't recognized "My Town" because it's a slow acoustic version, so different from the rockin' anthem we're all familiar with.

"Falling In Love Again", one of my all-time favorite songs, still brings tears to my eyes, and the slower version of "Lover" really makes you think about the situation and imagine that you are there.

I must say, the electric violin and mandolin add a piquancy to songs like "Spanish Nights" that lends a much different air.

All in all, this album with it's less elaborate arrangements really lets you *listen* to the lyrics which I feel are one of Michael's greatest strengths. It hits a much more visceral part of the listener's psyche. Different? Yes. Better? Often.

this is really for true msb fans. there are a number of new version of old songs. all the favorites are here. a few too many covers of other peoples songs. though they are good i was more interested in his music.
