Great mix of songs, especially with the newer tracks and covers.

Having a live album is not just another version of the song, when you love a band its a fix.

I haven't bought this, but I listened to my friends copy and it does sound amazing.

Great record, though not the complete Pearl Jam concert experience, simply because they didn't want to include any of the songs from their last official live release - Live on Two Legs (1998) - which included many of their live staples, like Even Flow, Daughter, Better Man, Corduroy, and Small Town. But still, this is an amazing collection of songs and anyone who has the slightest interest in Pearl Jam needs to pick it up, along with Live on Two Legs if you don't already have it.

I have been a fan of Pearl Jam since the early days. I have bought their live cds back when every concert they did seemed to be available. The song selection for Live on Ten Legs is a great representation of their entire catalog and it was nice to see the Public Image Lmtd. cover.

I went back and relistend to Live on Two Legs and the newer album just does not seem as raw and emotional as previous Pearl Jam material. I suppose that is only normal as the band has been around for over 20 years and played on tour for the entire time. With that being said this is still a must have album.

I have loved the non-remastered bootlegs over the years, but we were long overdue for an official remastered live album and the band does not disappoint. Great mix of songs, especially with the newer tracks and covers. It is a must buy!

Studio albums are the purest interpretation by a band. Its exactly what they want it to sound like. When a live version of the same song comes out, its like hearing a different song. You feel their emotion and the energy of the performance and the best part is, you're hearing an unhinged version. The solos, the ad libs, the mistakes are pure stoke. Having a live album is not just another version of the song, when you love a band its a fix.

Pearl Jam's fourth formal live release (not counting the official bootlegs) is not as strong as 'Live on Two Legs,' but it does have the best versions of 'Rearview Mirror,' 'Porch,' 'Nothing As It Seems,' and 'In Hiding.' Matt Cameron's drumming on these songs is incredible and the whole band comes together with vigor and energy feeding off each other and taking these tracks to a whole new level of musical brilliance.

Live on Ten Legs is also a refreshing compilation, and you'll be glad some of their live staples such as 'Corduroy' don't appear on this album yet again - particularly if you've been buying the official bootlegs and Ten Club releases like many fans do. Other great performances on this album include 'Animal,'Spin The Black Circle (when was the last time you heard that one live?), and 'I Am Mine.' The only downside is that the numbers from Backspacer clearly pale in comparison with songs from their other albums.

I have tons of PJ CD's, live performances, studio albums, compilations, singles etc... this is not my favorite but it is a really nice example of what this guys can do, I think this is not the correct selection of songs for a 20 year anniversary compilation but for somebody that have been listen to this guys for years I really like it. I'll not recommend this to somebody with little to no PJ experience, you might want to get the rearviewmirror compilation (studio recorded, not live) or if you want to listen to this guys live go and get any other of their bootleg performances, specially the 08 tour since they were not singing lots of songs of the new albums you will find a more balanced set list from the new and the old PJ.
