3.0 out of 5 stars Mid 1980s Sir Doug, November 13, 2002

This review is from: Live Texas Tornado (Audio CD)
Latter-day lineup of the Sir Douglas Quintet features (of course) Augie Meyers on keyboards and Texas fiddler-guitarist Alvin Crow. Sir Doug is in fine voice here, standing out on the Dylan tune "Tom Thumb's Blues" and Buddy Holly's "Oh Boy."

Best of all, though, is the classic "She's About A Mover," which isn't long enough. On the other hand, the "Mendocino" medley is probably a little too long.

Too bad there aren't any songs from the "Border Wave" album that Doug Sahm recorded with this same lineup. In fact, why isn't that one out on CD?
