5.0 out of 5 stars This shows what Everclear should sound like.
This is an expensive album, no matter where you look, and you only get eight songs, but its well worth it. Everclear sounds better live than they do on any of their albums, with the possible exception of "World of Noise". You don't get the total sence of energy they have at a live show, but you can see can hear it to a point. There is a great version of...

3.0 out of 5 stars Just not a great live album
Live from Toronto is the only live everclear album. But as live albums go, this one is just plain bad.

Except for some crowd noise at the beginning and end of the tracks, each song sounds just about like studio version. Even the guitar solos are [bad], uninspired, and pretty much sound like the studio version as well. Nor is there any dialogue. Art says "hey this is the...

Art says "hey this is the next single off our album," and "goodnight" at the end. That's it. In other words, unless you're just a die hard everclear fan, I wouldn't recommend live from toronto - this album doesn't offer anything new on everclear.

You don't get the total sence of energy they have at a live show, but you can see can hear it to a point. There is a great version of "Herion Girl" that sounds like the Eagles could have done. Local God also sounds great. Pick this album up if you want to know what Everclear should really sound like.

5.0 out of 5 stars This in an incredible CD, March 29, 1999

This is a great CD. Have you ever been to an Everclear concert? Well, I have....3 in fact, and this is exactly what a live Everclear concert sounds like. All of the songs are great. If you've never heard of any of them before, you probably aren't a real Everclear fan. All of these songs are Everclear. Well, if you love all of the radio versions of the songs and are planning to go to a concert, you should check this CD out.

5.0 out of 5 stars better than the studio, March 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Live From Toronto (Audio CD)
This live album is great. Well worth the money for hard core everclear fans. The 8 tracks are more relaxed and offer longer intros than their counterparts on studio albums. Alexakis seems to enjoy himself more, and the instruments are more artistic and less obtrusive to his vocals than they are on World of Noise, Sparkle and Fade, and So Much for the Afterglow. You will not regret spending the money, especially for a newer performance of the classic Loser Makes Good, and easier, less rushed cuts of Amphetamine and Local God. Raw Emotion and great lyrics made Everclear, and they make this album. Go forth and buy!!!!

Have you experienced an Everclear show, thought it was awesome, and want to relive that moment again?? This CD lets you do you that! You can really get into the rawness of this album put out by Art's voice, Greg's caotic drumming, and Craig on bass. An essential addition for your Everclear collection. Get it now!!!
