I saw this tour at the now defunct Bogarts in Long Beach, and in fact, it was the show they did a couple days before (or after?) the one used for this recording. Though that show went on for almost three hours (!) and this recording is substantially shorter, one nevertheless gets all the energy and the best moments (including Michael slapping out a bass solo) on this excellent recording. Know that it is raw in parts and no overdubbing was done, but for me that just adds to the charm.

This is an amazing sounding live album from The Call. I highly recommend any fan of the group to buy this CD. It features live versions of "I Still Believe" and "Let The Day Begin". I remember seeing the group on this tour, and this CD captures their incredible live energy and emotion.

I've heard a lot of live CDs and albums, but this is the best. There is no mixing or over-dubing to improve the quality of the sound. It is The Call 100% raw, as they would sound if you were there hearing them in person. It almost sounds like some boot-legs of bands in concert that I have heard. Yet another feather in the cap of one of the greatest bands of all-time. The Call deserves the title, "Best band you aren't listening to".

This captures the power of their live show well. I saw them on this tour in Columbus, Ohio. After the show they went to a local bar near the theater they played at with their opening act. I bought Michael Been a beer. RIP Michael. You wrote some great songs. I also saw them live at the Cleveland Agora in the early 80's during the tour for their third album. It was an even better show as we were sitting at a table near the stage.

I never knew this great band had this live album. Until I searched for more work from The Call on Amazon. A powerful live performance from a band with emotion. Some of my favorite tracks are on here (I Don't wanna/Let The Day Begin/You Run). The only pity is that a lot of the tracks are from the Red Moon album, which is my least favorite album. Therefore 4 stars and not 5. But the tracks I like immensly, the recording quality and the power and expression are fantastic and make it worth buying.

The Call live rates up there with the best live album by anyone.
They manage to bring that passion and communicate it to this listeners heart. But that's what the Call were all about, music that delves deep into the human soul. Great experience. Any CD by these guys is worth checking out. Take care!

THE BEST LIVE CD EVER PRODUCED! I only wish I could have seen the group in person. I will always regret that - but at least I have this CD and what a CD it is! THE CALL IS THE MOST UNDERATED BAND OF OUR TIME!

I saw this tour at the Bottom line in NYC. They played an amazing show. Michael Been has such a great voice and writes beautiful lyrics. It was like seeing the band play in my living room. Listening to this disc brought me back to that show 10 years ago....

Music needs more groups like the Call. Never a big MTV hit, the Call blow away all the "boy bands" of today....
