I have never been an American Idol viewer in the past and wasn't this year until a friend said I needed to see Lee Dewyze on the show. That was all it took. I listened to and bought both of his pre-idol cd's and was really pleased when I heard this one. I know it sounds corny but when I first heard Beautiful Like You and Me and My Jealousy they made me cry. I gave this cd to several of my friends who never heard of him and they all love it. I anticipate him having a successful career. There are emotional songs, songs to play with the windows down in the car going fast, songs you can sing with at the top of your voice. Again I LOVE HIS MUSIC>

I was anxious for Lee's new CD and I think he did a great job. The music feels fresh and new, the songs differ from each other, different style and tunes. But it is his voice that makes the whole thing come together and sound so good. Very happy I bought this CD.

I loved all the songs! My main favorites being Sweet Serendipity, Me and My Jealousy and my #1, Brooklyn Bridge. <3

I expected Lee's new album to be great, but it blew all of my expectations out of the water! This CD is wonderful for people of all ages. I'm 24 and enjoy listening to it with my 2 year old son, 6 year old daughter, 30 year old Husband and 86 year old grandmother who all love it just as much as I do (if not MORE)! It's a favorite in our household for sure! I recommend everyone to pick up a few copies. You should keep one for your home, your car and give it as a gift to as many people as possible because they are SURE to love it! Lee's vocal abilities were really captured in all of 11 tracks and it truely shows what a great song writer and singer he is! While you're buying this album don't forget to pick up his previous CDs titled 'So I'm Told' & 'Slumberland'! All of these would make GREAT stocking stuffers this holiday season! : )

I saw Lee on american Idol 9. I was sold on his easy going style.
I have purchased all three of his cd's and enjoy them very much.
Slumberland is the best so far. I will continue to purchase Lee's CD's as they come out.
Can't wait for his dnext one.

Lee Dewyze's new album, "Live It Up" is well written and soulfully sung. Being familiar with his earlier music (2007 So I'm Told and 2009 Slumberland), his soulful, gritty, edgy voice is still easily identifiable in this album, his guitar skills adding depth and emotion to each song. This album tells the story of relationships from all angles- sometimes fun and light, other times dark and emotional. Whether you like harder,rock type songs, simple, yet complex acoustic songs, or catchy and fun pop type music, Lee does it all in 'Live It Up' with amazing melodies and lyrics. I've shared this album with family, friends and strangers- every single one has loved it. Highly recommend buying the entire album!!

I've listened to Lee's pre-Idol music quite a lot, so at first, Live It Up's tracks surprised me because they're different from those of Slumberland and So I'm Told. However, I do find all the songs here beautiful. In true singer-songwriter fashion, it's not about belting out the songs or writing lyrics that listeners have to decode but telling a story in simple words that anyone can relate to.
This is the first album that I listen to from start to finish, and replay quite a lot. (And I have quite a number of albums in my collection.) If there's one thing that I don't like about Live It Up, it's that it's too short! (Less than an hour I believe.)
And also, this is the first album I own that I can't quite decide the song that I like the most. The first time I listened to it, my favorites were Beautiful Like You (because Lee sang it so beautifully) and Me and My Jealousy (fits my type of music). On the second and third time, my favorites were Stay Here (I like the melody and the lyrics) and It's Gotta Be Love (love the beat). But then A Song About Love, Brooklyn Bridge and Earth Stood Still kind of grow on you. And I can't quite explain why I don't skip Live It Up, Sweet Serendipity and Dear Isabelle.
So you see, until now more than a month later, and probably almost a hundred replays, I'm still undecided as to what I like the best. So I just listen to it over and over. And I don't mind at all.

Live It Up by Lee DeWyze and his NEWEST single "Beautiful Like You" is definitely worth buying. I play it over & over. The "more you listen" the "more you really like it". I told several people about Live It Up and they are glad they bought it. My friend just sent me a text message yesterday to say "We Lee'd It Up and we really like it".

Lee has an amazingly soulful, sultry and raspy voice with a rocker edge. His voice is filled with cool little nuances that showcase his original sound. Lee has a lot of raw talent and works really hard. He's not a manufactured performer. He's the real deal.

Live It Up has wide variety of songs; from his more intense and rockin'songs like "Me & My Jealousy" and "BEAUTIFUL LIKE YOU," his newest extraordinary single that EVERYONE can relate to; to his beautiful and heartfelt songs that'll melt your heart like "Brooklyn Bridge" and "Earth Stood Still". Live It Up also has several upbeat, fun and lighter songs like "Dear Isabelle" and "Stay Here".

Not only is Lee a great singer/songwriter, he's a genuinely nice guy who really appreciates his fans and the opportunity to make music. You can tell he loves what he does.

I fell for Lee's talent when I saw him audition for American Idol and have been hooked ever since. He is my favorite artist. Lee is even better live if you can believe it; how many people can you say that about?

I bought this album with low expectations, as I was disappointed with previous AI winners' albums. I was pleasantly surprised with Live It Up. It's one of those albums I could listen to over and over, without getting tired of it. The more I listen, the more I love it! Me and My Jealousy, Dear Isabelle, and It's Gotta Be Love are top notch tracks.

The more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. The tunes are easy on the ears and lyrics are interesting. I think the songs speak primarily to a younger generation (teen to late 20s), but I think people in their 50s will definitely enjoy listening to "Brooklyn Bridge" (Billy Joel type song), "Dear Isabelle" (folksy). I think "Live It Up" is great for "soccer moms", teens and college aged listeners.
