This girl's got it goin' on. I was introduced to this girl for the first time on the ABC day time TV show "The View" a few years ago. She performed the song "Live For You" live. I was sprung! I could not believe what I was hearing out of a 14-15 year old. I knew then and there she was filled with the holy spirit. You can hear it on this record. Live For You is a solid collection of soul and R&B flavored gospel songs. That she is able to combine lyrics of praise and worship with popular dance music without sacrificing her reverance for the Lord is amazing when you consider she's but a teen. In all due respect to another reviewer on this page she doesn't have the vocal range of Mariah Carey or Celine Dion. But then she's just a teen. Most adult singers don't have Carey's or Dion's range! However if her pipes continue to develop she will have the range of Carey and Dion by the time she's old enough to go out for drinks and hors d' oeuvres. I have two words for you if that happens ~ watch out!

Rachael has a beautiful, controlled and strong voice that belies her age. Her voice is not whiny and weak like some other popular singers out there. I especially enjoy "Blessed", "Shaken", and "Hide Me". This CD is especially great because Rachael masters so many different styles with ease while making it fun. Of course, the message is undeniably all about Jesus Christ; these songs do not water the message down. You don't have to wonder who Rachael represents when you listen to her music. I listen to the entire CD over and over again without tiring of the songs. This is one of the best Christian albums ever.

I can honestly say that this is a fantastic debut album from this young superstar. She was only 14 when she recorde this CD. I love all the songs but the title track is superb!

I am not just saying this: Her voice is better than Celine Dion's and Mariah Carey's. She has such control and purity in her voice. Of all the Rachel Lampa CD's, this is my favorite!

There are many great songs on this CD. Besides the title track "Live For You" (incredible!), I also like "Day of Freedom," "God Loves You" (It will put a smile on your face AND your heart), "Blessed," "You Lift Me Up" (Just try and NOT sing along and raise your hands while she's singing), "Shaken," and "My Father's Heart."

The CD was produced by Brown Bannister, the guy who produced Amy Grant's early albums. Yes! Great Christian music!!!!!! I think secular music lovers would love this album, too! I'm pretty new to Christian music, myself, so I was very impressed by this CD.
