This review is from: Live in Zagreb (Audio CD)
This is slightly different from the dozens of other Fall live albums in that it contains highlights from four different shows: NYC '93, Munich '93, Bristol '97, and a little Bonus EP disc tucked inside (which Amazon doesn't list) with 3 cuts from an unknown location in '88.
Highlights include: marathon workouts of the seldom performed "Shift-Work" & "Why Are People Grudgeful?," a truly blistering version of "Strychnine," and on the bonus disc: a stunning rendition (with extended ending) of "U.S. 80's-90's" (the other two unlisted tracks are "Yes, O Yes" and "Carry A Bag Man" [sic])
Also, although "Interference" may seem like a rare unreleased track, it's actually just under 2 minutes of tape noise that serves as an intro to a strangely modernized (and shortened) "Hip Priest." Nothing to get excited about...
This is a pretty good value for money, as it really is the best cuts from 4 shows, but seeing as it's only one of a incomprehensibly large mass of live CDs by this group, (surpassing even the Grateful Dead for the number of live albums released) I only give it 4 stars. But there really isn't a dud in the bunch, although i could've done without yet another version of "Big New Prinz"... ;oD
