WILLIE KENT's Live at B.L.U.E.S. is a typical club show a very good record, where the most of the tracks are very good standards one of them composed by Willie Kent like is the good Blues "All my life" the remainder are excellent themes all times classics which are brilliantly covered by this bassist master Willie. The majority of the songs are often extended to six or seven minutes being the outstanding track the Buddy Guy's "A man and his Blues" which there is an intense, brilliant and matching guitar playing by Jake Dawson and the luminary Johnny B. Moore as well as a good piano work by Ken Barker. Besides all other tracks frankly very very good authentic Chicago Blues in all senses, Little Junior Parker's "Mother in law Blues", fantastic Magic Sam's "Looking good", of course one of his mentor the sensational Muddy Water's "Ship made of paper" marvellous Lowell Fulson's "Black Night", "I'm good" with the magnificient participation of the sweetheart of the Blues the big Bonnie Lee, historical and multi-cover B.B.King's "Rock me", the slow Blues Little Joe Blue's "Dirty work going on", fierce Hound Dog Taylor's "Sadie" Hound dog one of the better, famous and friendly Little Milton's "Tin pan Alley" and closing with the animated Little Johnny Christian's "If you got to love somebody". I recommend it to all Blues followers.
