Biography

LA born country singer-songwriter Maria McKee went from Lone Justice to lone star when her solo career took off with the song "Show Me Heaven" which was used in the Tom Cruise film Days of Thunder.

2008 BBC archive release from the former leader of Lone Justice. The tracks on this CD are taken from her performance at Manchester University in 1991 and Cambridge Junction in 1993, at the peak of her commercial success and contains some of her best known solo tracks alongside the Lone Justice hits and some wonderful cover versions. 19 tracks including 'Show Me Heaven', 'Shelter' and 'You Gotta Sin To Be Saved'. Universal. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

This is a fantastic document of the power of Maria McKee live. This CD brings together two BBC live sets from the early 1990's. There are numerous highlights. She spotlights songs from her first two solo releases as well as songs from her Lone Justice days. There are also visits to her songs "A Good Heart","Show Me Heaven" and "Nobody's Child". This CD flows along wonderfully and, when it's over, you'll want to replay it again! Absolutely sweet Maria!

It's live, she "goes for it' more than on those Geffen albums and it is truly worth owning. Not to mention she's got more talent and ability than what you catch in the pop scene of today. Maria M., may you always, somehow, keep on making music. LOVE to you.
