After hearing rave reviews about this CD, I decided to go out and purchase it. I was absolutely stunned (I am not exaggerating! ). Sumi Jo's voice sounded so clear and precise it was almost ear piercing, in fact some of her high notes are ear piercing. She hits high notes like are nothing. Forget the sopranos of the past, Sumi Jo is the soprano of right now and will be the supreme soprano of the future. You owe it to yourself to go out and pick up a copy of this CD. Believe me you will not regret it!

If you like a crystal clear soprano with an incredible technique, this is the CD for you. Jo has an amazing voice, and the concert here features some of the pieces for which she is best known. The pieces are probably some of the most difficult pieces in music, but Jo navigates them with unparalleled ease and grace, in a live setting! While Jo perhaps does not have the most powerful soprano voice out there, her technique and warmth of tone are to be envied. She also knows that she is singing words and emotions, not merely showcasing her technique, and that makes the package complete. This is my favorite Sumi Jo CD.
