Live makes the music Alive,

This review is from: Live at The Freight (Audio CD)
Having been a Marley's Ghost fan for most of their existence, I was thrilled with their newest release. Live at The Freight and Salvage is just that - Live and features the band playing music they love for people who love it. Indeed, these are definitely among my favourite of their tunes. The vocals are unbeatable and the instrumentation is awesome. Marley's Ghost is best when they are live and this CD is the best they've ever made. Their eclectic taste and musical repertoire stands out above all competitors. Especially notable are Iko Iko and Fiddler's Green, both guaranteed to please any crowd.

Marley's Ghost Live,

Great CD. Saw the band at Strawberry Music Festival in 2002. I was very impressed with them. Musically their performace is tight and of the highest caliber and their stage presence is exceptional. Everyone in the band is a great showman--especially frontman Dan Wheetman. It is obivous they all love what they are doing and having a great time on the stage--and it is infectious. Their covers of an eclectic array of hits are more than satisfying--without being carbon copies of the originals. Their original pieces--especially Wheetman's Sugar Trade make you wonder why they aren't famous!

Make no mistake about it!
This is probably the finest live music recording of its genre that I have heard in YEARS! What an outstanding job the audio engineers did on this one! Go run and grab yourself a copy and enjoy listening to it over and over again! It was recorded inside the "old" Freight and Salvage Coffee House in Berkeley, but things never sounded as good to me! The arrangements of some classic tunes are absolutely the best! The musicianship is superb. Put it all together and you have an incredible listening experience, particularly if you happen to like listening to music over good headphones. Forget the MP3 files, go to the regular audio CD and kick back! WOW! TRIPLE WOW! Richard Links Links Sound Berkeley, CA
