My daughter bought this for my birthday because I am a huge Neil Diamond fan. What a disappointment. It skips badly on the DVD player. It plays better on the computer, but it seems like a poor quality DVD. It looks like bootleg, badly edited excerpts from possibly Love at the Greek. Save your money......My daughter is embarrassed to have bought it for me and I feel bad for her spending her money on this.

This DVD looks like it was filmed with a Super 8 camera at the concert, then converted to DVD by an unofficial source. Or maybe I am just spoiled by the High Definition videos of today. In any case the quality is less than I expected.

This is an edited, unofficial, and probably bootleg version of the 1977 "Love at the Greek" TV special. The entire 5-minute opening introduction has been removed, the part where the camera pans over the empty Greek Theatre and Neil Diamond narrates. The program starts in the middle of the first song ("Cherry, Cherry") with a new superimposed title calling it "Live at the Greek." I assume the company changed the title and removed the intro for legal reasons. The concert itself has been edited to a fake widescreen by scrunching the footage down, and the definition of the picture has been severely compromised. The colors are washed out and there are a lot of video "trails" and other anomalies. For a few bucks I got a used VHS copy of the legitimate 1977 "Love at the Greek" release and found the sound and video were much better, even though it was a 20-year-old VHS tape.

If you run across this anywhere, don't buy it. Find a copy of the VHS release instead.
