5.0 out of 5 stars LIVE AT THE TALK OF THE TOWN, August 16, 2007
I believe I have purchased 5 of this album, having worn them out. Finally, I have it on CD!! It is timeless, from 1969. You feel like you are there!! It is one of their best Live albums/cd's. Obviously I am one of their fans!! It is worth purchasing.

ENJOY!!

Vince

5.0 out of 5 stars Electrifying!, July 15, 2007
This review is from: Live at London's Talk of the Town (Audio CD)
If you never got to a Diana Ross and The Supremes concert get this CD to experience the energy of their live performances! A tip of the hat must go to the awesome orchestra conducted by Jimmy Garrett. The opening medley from the groups I Hear A Symphony album includes With A Song In My Heart;Stranger In Paradise, Wonderful Wonderful and Without A Song. Diana makes these songs her own and the addition of Cindy Birdsong as Florence Ballard replacement paired with Mary Wilson, gives the group a different sound than that found on their first live album 1965's at The Copa since Mary and Cindy sing in unison. The next medley includes the hits Stop! In The Name of Love; Come See About Me, My World Is Empty Without You (which is also included on the I Hear A Symphony Album), Baby Love and Love Is Here and Now Your Gone. Their rendition of More follows. Diana's dialogue about the groups conductor Gil Askey is funny and you can tell everyone at this concert is having a good time.Sandwhiched between their hits You Keep Me Hanging On and In and Out of Love(then their current single), the group pays tribute to their English male group counterparts, the Beatles in perfoming Michelle and Yesterday (which by the way is also on the I Hear A Symphony album.) Paul McCartney, after seeing this show said "It's the show business event of the year." The other medleys include The Lady Is A Tramp and a salute to broadway including Second Hand Rose and Mame. You'll enjoy hearing The Happening and Reflections. The encore song,Your Nobody Till Somebody Loves You leaves you wanting for more.
