Thanks to the DP appreciation society for great recording of the best this lineup had to offer. Glenn Hughes at his finest and the whole band is rockin. Only regret is the ommission of You Keep On Moving and the fact that this lineup dissolved without reaching full potential.

For years I had been reading about this show. It was way better than I expected. This is a great companion to the This Time Around- Live In Japan disc. If your like your music raw, live and jamming than this is a great disc for you!

The main reason I have given this release as many as 4 stars is that I am very pleased to have a document of the first concert I ever attended (back when I was the ripe age of 13). For those of you who are clear on the history of Deep Purple, this concert took place during the tour after Ritchie Blackmore had left the band. Tommy Bolin was an acceptable replacement, but nowhere close to the abilities of Blackmore. Also, this concert took place less than a month from the band's final concert, so things may have been a bit strained. Either way, I'm glad I attended the concert and I'm glad to have the CD. There are some fairly good versions of some great songs, but this recording is nowhere near "Made in Japan." You may want to forward the ten minute guitar solo, boring. I can still remember people sitting near me at the concert joking about wanting to throw a tomato (may Tommy rest in peace). I mistakenly submitted a review under my wife's name, so I hope I got this one right.

The main reason why I like this CD is that I attended this concert when I was the ripe age of 13. The CD is what I expected: fairly good versions of some great songs. Blackmore had left the band and only a month later the performed their final concert, so they were running out of gas. If you are a Deep Purple fan, this is a document of where they were at this point in their history. The versions are pretty good, but it's not "Made in Japan." Oh, by the way, if you find the guitar solo boring, I can still remember people sitting close to me joking about wanting to throw a tomato at Bolin. Either way, I'm glad I was there, and I'm glad I now have the CD.
