THE BEST BY FAR !!!,

This review is from: Live at the Longhorn (DVD)
An incredible gig in Dallas,Texas, during their 1978 American Tour.Shot with 3 different cameras from 3 different angles, beatifully edited, both picture and sound have been remastered to the point you'd never tell the cameras were Super 8.The sound is powerful and clear, the vocals inteligible as never before;the drums feature real live dinamics, with ear slicing cymbals. If you dont mind listening to versions WITHOUT BASS GUITAR ON IT (well known fact S.Vicious never learned to play bass) this is by far the best sounding live set featuring exciting versions of the songs. There's also a good deal of violence against the musicians during and after the gig (which I deplore but know many will find a bonus).Sid¨s face is bottled and his mouth is hit with the mike by a moron who shook it,his face ending up as that of a loosing boxer, and Steve Jones gets mad from verbal abuse.THIS IS ONE DVD TO KEEP AND TREASURE.

A rare find. Done with what apears to be Super 8. There are multiple camera angles and the audio is okay. The show is fantastic as the band assaults the stage. Sid is useless and I don't think his bass is even plugged in, but he is a bloody mess solidfying his tragic image. Rotten is in prime form and John and Paul thunder away. They play like a true English band, announcing each song playing it straight through and then repeat. A load of fun.

I loved Live at the Longhorn. It was sort of a let down that the crowd wasn't wild. But, the audio was good and a lot of the camera shots were. It was great seein the band play live. I love this and would recommend it to anyone who likes the Sex Pistols.

This concert is one of the Sex Pistols last concert. The concert is a great one, great performance by everyone. I didn't realize how good Johnny Rotten sounds live. This concert took place on January 10, 1978 in Dallas Texas. I guess Dee Dee Ramone really was Sid mentor because in the beginning of some of the songs here Sid shouts 1-2-3-4! (In a slower way though) I don't know what's the best about this concert, Johnny Rotten's voice, the distortion of Steve Jones guitar, Paul Cooks massive drum style, or Sid calling everyone in the audience a fa**t. Seeing Sid bust his face was a little disturbing but that is what was so great of him. The concerts only around thirty minutes but it is still worth it. At the end of the concert the Sex Pistols perform "God Save the Queen" at the Sex Pistols last concert in Winterland on January 14, 1978. It's not such a great performance but it takes up time. For a true Sex Pistols fan, here it is, them at their best.

I love this band too bad they were not around long for a long time. This was when Sid Vicious was in the band. Sid's not on drugs but he acting like a spazz. Did he really have to pull those dum faces!! The band should've let him sing some songs. The Sex Pistols was really great live. Paul Cook really knew how to play drums. Steve Jones is also a great giturist player too. Along with the Dammed the Pistols were the best punk band. Sid should of looked liked he was playing the bass, which he could not play insted of talking to the female fans!
