Nina Gerber is not only one of the very finest guitar players in the world, she in this CD has compiled some of the most beautiful music that I've ever heard! Every song is perfect, dramatic, and full of emotion and meaning, and this includes the lyrics and the guitar accompaniment...

Gerber's sensitive, yet powerful, guitar playing, whether on one of her acoustic or electric instruments, typically causes the listener to say (and feel), "OMG, that is SO AWESOME....SO in synch with the vocals and the lyrics themselves..so absolutely mind-boggling".

The only thing I would change with this album, is the title : instead of "Nina Gerber Live, Good Music with Good People", I would title this CD: "Nina Gerber Live, GREAT Music with Good People".

This CD has "side person' guitarist Nina Gerber playing live with the likes of Jackson Browne, Bruce Cockburn, Greg Brown, Laurie Lewis
and Eliza Gilkyson and a few more people you've never heard of. And can she play! Acoustic, electric, slide. Imagine the better parts of
Mark Knopfler and Amos Garrett crammed together with wicked tone and taste. Her use of the volume pedal is instructive for any player
who uses them. The two cuts by Eliza Gilkyson alone are worth the price of admission.
Just buy this CD (it may be cheaper on her website) and when you do, buy two, because you'll want to turn friends on to it (I've bought at least 5
to give to fellow guitar players). And if you like it as much as I did, get Greg Brown's double CD "In the hills of California" which is also culled from live performances at the Kate Wolf Festival over several years. Nina plays on almost every cut and again, her playing is amazing. Not flashy. Just
beautiful notes.

One of the few 5 star records I've heard in the last few years.
