Hope your patient and handy. I'm both and it took me close to 2 hours to assemble one chair. You will receive two bags of screws, nuts, bolts and separate pieces of wood. However the finished product is well worth it. A little tricky to collapse and open until you catch on. You will not find anything close to the quality or price in adirondack chairs. I did hours of research on the net and couldn't find a better bargain. If you hate assembling and following instructions avoid these chairs. If you don't mind putting in the effort go for it. I ordered 3 chairs and later two more. I really do like them.

Nice alternative to a full price chair,

I picked up 2 of these at Ace over the weekend for $39 each; the first one took 1.5 hours to assemble and the second 1 hour. It would have gone a lot quicker if I had my drill or electric screwdriver with me, as every part is connected with a phillips head screw.
I would call this the frugal person's alternative to a classy chair. The chairs will need to be stained plus poly'd or painted, which will add at least another couple of hours. If you like this kind of project to do yourself, then you can get 2 nice chairs for under $100 including paint. But if you don't have the time or the inclination, then I might advise getting a preassembled chair that is already stained. FYI the fold up feature is great, I can make sure my pets stay off!

I bought 2 of these chairs on impulse. After I finished and assembled the first chair I was a bit disappointed in the size. It sits low and isn't very wide either. It actually feels like a step up from a childs chair. It is however a solid piece of furniture and it looks good. If you're over 5'6 or 170 lbs this chair won't do.
