A New Energy,
By Okla Elliott (Greensboro, NC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT: A NOVELLA AND STORIES (Paperback)
It is rare in contemporary fiction to find a truly unique voice. There are more writers and publishers of fiction today than anyone can keep up with, and considering that much of it sounds exactly the same, why should one even try? Well, now there's a reason. Lee K. Abbott writes with a new energy, a sustained vitality, and his work carries an importance most cookie-cut contemporary work lacks. He has a filled bag of characters and situations, and he's got the raw writerly talent to make them interesting and believable. Any student of fiction or avid reader should find a copy of all of his books.
