My expectations for this sequel were high, and I was not disappointed! I do feel it "went beyond" living with multiple sclerosis in making practical suggestions on how others have managed to fight the inner foe and live better, more productive and more enjoyable lives despite this disease. I'm a former member of "the froup," and it was refreshing and fun to reconnect with this bunch of indomitable ladies who have cared enough to share themselves with others in an encouraging and pleasant manner. I highly recommend this book! I've had MS 27 years; there are valuable insights here.

The Best Yet,
This review is from: Living Beyond Multiple Sclerosis: A Women's Guide (Paperback)
Living With Multiple Sclerosis was an incredible book. I have been fortunate enough to read the sequal prior to it's release. It is even more supportive than the first. There is something for everyone in this book! It provides comfort and support. It allows us to laugh at a disease that has taken so much away from us. And it gives us an opportunity to cry with others. Living with MS is hard enough, but to do it without the help of this book is even harder. It is a definite must read for anyone that has any contact with a person who has MS....family, friends, doctors, nurses. There is not one person that can read this book that will not come away understanding more. Take some time out and read this book! You will not be sorry that you did!

Judith Nichols and the Buds are back better than ever! The conversations roll about their experiences in everyday life with the disease they call the MonSter! I am glad to see a sequel to the first book, and have to say that I am happy to see the addition of some new faces! Some of the newer additions to the Buds are newly diagnosed, or undiagnosed and waiting. This adds a whole new scope of experiences to the group. I love the book's format; having the real conversations of the Buds carry the information to the readers. It is a book that I think all women with MS should read, and one that should be shared with family members and caretakers. There is a wealth of information about what these women deal with everyday, while still maintaning their goals in life. They come across as strong and determined women, and as women that any of us might know as a neighbor or relative. Wonderful!
