This study showed me spiritual depths and possibilities unknown to me before. I found this Bible study incredibly engrossing, revealing and uplifting; it takes you on an odyssey to reveal, learn and internalize (i.e. live) what the Holy Spirit is really all about. In concrete terms, what is It, when do you get It, and what does it mean to "live in the Spirit"? Exactly how is the Holy Spirit changing the lives of believers? Beth Moore digs deep into the original languages of the Old and New Testaments to show us what the writings of the Bible truly say regarding the fruit of the Spirit as described by Paul and others in the context of Galations 5:22-23 and related Biblical text. Love, patience, kindness, gentleness...our everyday definitions of these words barely scratch the surface of what God is truly saying. Worth the effort.

I begame a Beth Moore groupie with her first Bible Study on the Old Testiment Tabernacle and have followed her with each successive study that she has written. I've also traveled to see her speak, and gone to a similcast or two. That's the kind of lady she is. If you read her, you'll love her too, and be trying your best to keep up with her.

This study did not, at the time it was released, have videos to accompany it, so I consequently passed it over and moved on to the next one. I think it's been more than a year now that Beth finally put videos to this study and made it available as an online study. I completed it last year. It is excellent, as is all her stuff.

I recommend it HIGHLY for the working woman, like me, who hardly has the time to get the laundry done or bills paid on time. You can do each lesson at whatever pace you want and when you have finally completed it then you can log on and watch the video. It took me about 8 months to complete this 10-week study at my own pace. Although I missed the fellowship of the ladies in sharing our stories and meeting in person, it was still very rewarding to have spent the time in God's word. I still benefited from THAT immensely. You can't do a Beth Moore study without growing closer to Jesus and wanting to have the relationship with HIM that Beth has with HIM. She actually has two available online, this one and BELIEVING GOD.

I joined a church group who used this book as a workbook and found the insights amazingly beautiful and very practical. Beth Moore writes from experience and from her heart. A heart that loves the Lord and desires others to know him as intimately.

If you've done a Beth Moore study before, you know that she will challenge you in every way she can. She'll ask you to face tough issues, devote your mind and heart completely to the work at hand, and most notably she'll ask you to give a huge chunk of your time to her "worksheet style" study. Expect results from working your way through these pages -- but don't take it on if you can't devote at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week. That said, I would recommend FINDING those 30 minutes.

This was not my first Moore study, but it's my favorite. The 10-week study starts with a 2 week introduction, then works through each of the 9 fruits of the spirit, one per week (combining "Kindness" and "Goodness" in week 7). The scriptural study is not at all limited to Galatians 5, however, and ranges from Genesis through the epistles. Content is mainly interdenominational, though some Catholics and Penecostals may need to keep an open mind with some of Moore's dogmatic suggestions. Though designed as a group study to include video segments, I worked through the study with only one other lady and without the videos, and still found the teachings held up to their intended goals.

I suggest this study for relatively mature believers (though it should be said that the broad spectrum of exerpts from so many books will familiarize a new believer with scripture quickly). I also recommend this for Christians who, like me, use intellect and "book work" to strengthen their faith. At completion, expect an intimate knowledge of what God tells us about his Spirit and how it acts through the body of the Church.

I just finished the Living Beyond Yourself study. It was amazing and truly life changing in my daily walk. I knew the Holy Spirit was in me but I had never learned how to make it work : ) I did not know how to evoke the fruits of the Spirit before this study. Learning that God is in me changing me to create in me the fruits of his Spirit was such a blessing. I don't think I am expressing what is in my heart very well but I just know I have been truly blessed though this study. Praise the Lord for his teachings and guidance.

The homework seemed daunting before I signed up for the course but it has been the biggest blessing to my life. I look forward to it and am online now to buy my next study so I can stay in the word like this study has had me in the word. It lead me to such beautiful truths and really got me into the Bible like no bible study I have ever participated it. I recommend this study to everyone....even if you have studied the Fruits of the Spirit before...this is the most enlightening study I have been through on the subject. Don't miss this blessing!

Beth brings you deeper into the faith and applying the principles in your daily life like few can. her writings are truly inspired and if you can get the dvd's that go along w/ the workbook...you are in for an amazing time !!
The workbook alone IS worth it's weight in gold and will inspire you in so many different ways.
If you are looking for a lifechanging workbook, I found this to be a chartbuster !!

This was my second Beth Moore study, and I was not disappointed. I recommend this study to all who want to learn about God and how to be like him. The DVDs give great, practical lessons on what it means to be filled with love, joy, peace, etc. Who wouldn't benefit from that? A great study for any level, from a questioning skeptic to a seasoned church-goer.

Wow! I love this study. There are a group of ladies in my church doing this one right now and it has been awesome. For a summer Bible Study, we have maintained a high attendance. This is my first study with Beth and I have to admit, it was hard. There is a lot of scripture reading and some pretty in depth questions. I wouldn't let that intimidate you. If you can't handle the written material, the videos that follow the end of each week will bless you beyond imagination. I have laughed, cried and seen the work of the Holy Spirit both in myself and with the members of our group. I highly recommend this study!

This is another one of Beth Moore's "home runs." She is greatly used by the Lord to get to the heart of the matter--our heart--my heart! This is the second time I have done this study--once by myself at a very difficult time in my life--and now with a friend who is going through a difficult time. I am sure the outcome of finishing this study on the fruit of the Spirit will give both of us a fuller understanding and help us live a victorious Christian life. Thank You, Father--thank you, Beth!

This is one of the best Beth Moore Studies - be sure to watch the newly updated DVD series that you can get to accompany it. Very in depth with lots of homework, but well worth the effort!
