5.0 out of 5 stars Bringing back the days of thrash metal, September 24, 2009
This review is from: Living for Death, Destroying the Rest (MP3 Download)
I just stumbled onto this band through Myspace the other day. This a great album bringing back the style thrash of the late 80s. "Nothing Defeats the Skull" is the stand out track for me. Check out the youtube video for it if you want a taste of what this album delivers. It's nice to see "nu metal" start to fade away as guitarists realize they should be playing solos and not just tuning their guitars down and playing off beat chords.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow-up to "Backyard", April 26, 2009
This band catches a lot of heat from Metal fans but as a die-hard rivethead I can say that RsG are one of the most unique Metal bands out there. With the majority of their sound being influenced by traditional Thrash, they might come off as riding the wave of new so called Thrash bands. However, they have their own style in a visual, musical and lyrical way. The sound is very heavy but does not come off like the band takes themselves too seriously. This is a CD I can put on when I'm partying and even people who hate Metal get into it. It's fast, heavy and damn entertaining. This album and their full-length debut Buried in the Back Yard... are getting heavy rotation in my stereo.

5.0 out of 5 stars they are back with a vengeance, April 8, 2010
Rumpelstiltskin Grinder is back with a vengeance. they have a weird name, but they still rock! they sound like a combination of Exodus and Kreator with a bit of United and Anthrax thrown in for good measure. the lead vocalist sounds like Rob Dukes from Exodus. I like a variety of metal and these guys can really cut the cake. I have said it several times before, and I will say it again, Relapse has a very talented roster.
