Exciting and transformational - ignore the cover,
This review is from: Living on the Devil's Doorstep: The McClung Family Story (Paperback)
McClung's story is one of the most exciting missionary adventure stories I've read in ages. His story of nontraditional ministry first to hippies strung out in the slums of Kabul and then living in the red-light district of Amsterdam was so awesome I had to keep putting it down to think about it. I wanted it to be longer. It contains some of the most practical advice for anybody trying to follow God in a difficult ministry that I've read. There will be times you'll think "hmmm...that's a little crazy. Would I be able to do that?" And that's a good question. It made me ask, how big is my faith? Do I really believe that Jesus is the way for everyone? Not just for me, or for people with sort of more socially acceptable problems? Awesome. I'm buying it for my friends.
