5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous book!, January 2, 2011
This review is from: Living with Diabetes: A Guide for Patients and Parents (Paperback)
I just finished reading the Spanish version of this book and I find it tremendously useful. I bought it because my bride is diabetic (she has diabetes type 1, which unfortunately -but its understandable- does not get as much cover as diabetes type 2) and I wanted to learn as much as I could about diabetes, so we can live together as well as we can. First of all, this book helped me a lot in getting to know what diabetes really is, as well as its causes and its consecuences. It also provides lots of clear information about the cares a patient needs, how to help her, what to pay attention at, how we who are around can help the patient, and finally provides some recipes adecuate for a diabetic. Really, this is a must read for people with diabetes, for us who love them and for any person interested on understanding diabetes. I look forward for the coming second, revised edition of this book, in which I hope to learn more on diabetes type 1. If anyone wants to get the Spanish version of the book, here is the link: Vivir Con Diabetes: Guia Para Pacientes y Padres (Spanish Edition)
