Every time I put this one on someone asks, "What is that? It's great!" Truly mesmerizing music. It alternately mananges to soothe, enlighten, excite and challenge the listener. I highly recommend it. Definitely stands on its own apart from the wonderful series it was written for.

This CD is truely a revelation. I was transported all over the world while sitting in my living room chair when I placed this CD in my player. The musical styles are diverse but somehow Laura Karpman's music has a personal voice and forms a whole that is exciting to listen to over and over. I heard new things each time I played the CD again. I am looking forward to hearing more from this artist!

This cd is a classic in depth and new in approach. Laura karpman'smusic is really unique, spanning diverse ethic and almost classical styles. I especially enjoyed the passion of "The Tempest" and the alsmost Vivaldi-like south georgia suite. Lots to listen to! |
