5.0 out of 5 stars IF you only buy one Schauberger book - get this one!, November 24, 2002
This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
I have every book written by Callum Coats on the Schauberger subject. This book, if you only buy one of them, is the definative book to get. I would basically call it a complet Schauberger reference work, as it contains all of the material that will later be expanded in the "Eco-Technology" series - which contain more thorough descriptions of Viktor's work. This book is great on its own, however, and will not dissapoint anyone interested in learning more about the "water wizard" - Viktor Schauberger. I highly recommend this book as a great starting point for study on everything from understanding the vortex, implosion technology, water-power in general, Schauberger's inventions, his forestry upbringing, and as a general biography, this book can't be beat.

5.0 out of 5 stars enlightened textbook for environmental studies, February 12, 2003

This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
Living Energies gives the understandings necessary for revitalizing Planet Earth -- for understanding which human actions either enhance or destroy the vitality of our forests, soils, air and water. I tell people about Living Energies more often than I promote my own books! Living Energies is the best book in the world for understanding the extensive wisdom of the Austrian forester and genius Viktor Schauberger. Academics, politicians and many other decision-makers should all study this book, if they can set aside any prejudices they might have regarding some inclusions of spirituality in a science book. It's the big picture!

5.0 out of 5 stars Understand and how to treat water., September 21, 2005

This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
If somebody have some interest in water must read that book.
It give great insights of how we should consider water and how to use it.Schauberger is the pioneer on what really water is,and with all of other things i read on that subject i think this is the one to start with. Many research today lead to the way Schauberger saw water many years ago.It prove too that you don't need to be a scientist to understand water.Great reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pseudo Science and flawed philosophy but lots of good stuff too., June 30, 2010

This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
Coats is not a real scientist. Science involves Observation, Hypothesis and Experimentation to validate your hypothesis. Pseudo Science is where you don't do the experimentation to keep on track.
Coats' philosophical premise is evolution with the added kick of a God that just loves to create things. Yet he worries very much that man in his stupidity is destroying everything with dire consequences. This contradicts the premise because his God has no moral code - no right or wrong to judge the acts of its creation so there really isn't anything man can do wrong - even if he succeeds in destroying himself.
He borrows moral codes from somewhere else and applies it as if it came from his premise.
This lame thinking is annoying throughout the book. Much of it is simply New Age dogma and preaching.

But on the bright side, there is lots of good observation and hypothesis one can use to move forward. However the book contains a disclaimer on all experiments attempted based on its information. The author has obviously not recreated anything from Schauberger himself. Every experiment described has insufficient information to reapat the experiment with any confidence of accuracy with maybe the exception of a simple one invented by Lord Kelvin which might be able to be looked up from another source.

The book is well documented but it would take a lot of work to go from these descriptions to working models. Much more research would be needed.

A critical reading reveals just too many assumptions chaining off into wild conclusions that detract from the real data revealed in this book.

Still, so far, this is the best I have found on Victor Schauberger. It's too bad our real scientists don't believe in subtle living energies, because I think such things predominate our world and requre the integrated type of investigation Mr. Coats it trying to get across.

This is one of my all time favorite books--even though much of it I had to read and re-read several times to get a clear understanding of some of the points it makes. I believe everyone should read this...several times---it has some truly fascinating information in it and is an excelent book to really get you thinking and appreciating the nature of this planet we live on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Living energies.....indeed!, July 31, 2010

This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)

A man named Howard Johnson once offered up to his detractors, regarding the well worn loaded buzz phrase, "perpetual motion", the following quip:

"I don't know how the electrons of an atom got started spinning, and I don't know how to stop them, do you?"

Viktor Schauberger was a truly gifted naturalist and researcher who, like a relative handful of other blessed individuals, was shown much regarding various aspects of our Father's awe inspiring Creation. That his life ended, as so many others of his kind, at the hands of fools who make themselves enemies of God Almighty by afflicting His Children, is no surprise to a growing number of Truth seekers, the world over.

The book, 'Living Energies' is a great read, made right at home on the shelf of anyone seeking greater understanding of the fantastic reality we all share.

Blessings in Christ Yeshua, fellow readers!

4.0 out of 5 stars very interesting, September 7, 2009
This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
this book is really something interesting, it's very well detailed troughout.
On the critical side i have to say that many sentences in this one got me really confused, the writing style could have been better than this...though it was interesting...i suggest this reading to anyone who's willing to read up new concepts with an open mind, this is pure frontier science, great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why add to what has been said, June 22, 2009
This review is from: Living Energies: An Exposition of Concepts Related to the Theories of Viktor Schauberger (Paperback)
Look, this man (Schauberger) was a genius in the true sense, but was Austrian. Hence the need for someone to bring his genius to English. Enter Callum Coats. His interpretation of Schauberger's insights is a masterwork. So I don't see the point in adding any more to what has been written. It is all said in the preceeding reviews.
