A clear, four-step plan to overcoming fibromyalgia

Written by a fibromyalgia sufferer and her doctor, who are collaborators for the Fibromyalgia Friends Support Group, Living with Fibromyalgia provides you with a revolutionary four-step plan to overcoming this debilitating condition.

Although there is no known cause or cure for fibromyalgia, much can be done to relieve the pain. Living with Fibromyalgia lays out a clear strategy and easy-to-follow plan that will help you learn how to adapt to this chronic illness.

The book explores how you can:

  • Find the right care
  • Rebuild your relationships
  • Stabilize stress . . . and more

One of my loved ones suffers from this disease. This book helped me to understand what she is going through. I appreciated its pragmatic approach to living one's life with dignity and overcoming the challenges associated with Fibromyalgia.

This book was ok. It hasn't stood out as one of my favourites about Fibromyalgia yet I am sure others would still get something from it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for the single person, January 19, 2006
This review is from: Living with Fibromyalgia (Paperback)
This book is definitely intended for those who are married and have families -- indeed, one of the four steps is all about dealing with loved ones and the impact the disease has on them. It might be helpful for those who have a family member with fibromyalgia, but it is USELESS if you are single and live alone, as many of the suggested solutions involve having another member of your household help you. Sadly, my cats refuse to cooperate. Far more helpful is "Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain: A Survival Manual" (2nd ed.) by Devin Starlanyl and Mary Ellen Copeland.
