3.0 out of 5 stars It was ok
It was an interesting read, but kind of hard to believe. I wish I was half as spiritual and/or gifted as the people mentioned in this book. That is the reason I purchased the book in the first place was to attempt to broaden my spirituality, but this book is not for the beginner. After reading this book I would guess I'm at about the pre K level of spirituality and this...

I was drawn to Drunvalo's Flower of Life teachings after being approached by a complete stranger who introduced me to them via his website. I found those volumes to be enjoyable but quite intense. On the other hand, Living in the Heart is a simple and easy book to read almost in one sitting. Yet it holds some powerful and simple observations and experiences about our world. The heart is where feelings are made manifest in our physical world, and it's our feelings that speak to the Mind of God, or the hidden field of intelligence as described by Gregg Braden (God Code, Isaiah Effect) and Lynne McTaggart (The Field). Our feelings communicate with the 99% of the energy in our world which is invisible to our eyes and ears. Following the heart reminds me of Stalking the Spirit, or following heart and gut feelings which can be an incredibly exciting journey. The times I have done it I've found myself surrounded by events and open doors my rational mind is unable to explain. If we want to change our world we must first become the feeling through prayer, rather than "thinking for" something, and then trust our creative essence.

Drunvalo explains some complex and deep concepts with simplicity and focus. His introduction of the Unity breath ties in elegantly with the principle of universality of feeling. Globally we may have different languages, symbols, philosophies, values, hopes and desires, but the one thing that unifies all of us, is our feelings. We can all recognise feelings of happiness, sadness, anger etc. no matter what our race, colour, religion, or material well-being. We are separate, yet we are not.

Buy the book, take a chance, do the meditation and have some fun!

Regards
Daniel John Hancock

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating, December 9, 2003

We are moving quickly to 2012, the coming of a New Age (The Great Awakening, as some call it). Drunvalo is almost like the human beacon of light that is guiding us there. This book is his latest findings (he works with various ascended masters) on how to live, create intention (and create), and discover your sacred purpose for existance -- in the sacred space of your heart. This book is fascinating and unlike his other two books, it is short and to the point (without all of that left-brained math). It is almost like a "how to" guide that leads, in a very simple way, to the sacred space of the heart. I loved every second of reading this book. Thanks Drunvalo!!!

Drunvalo has done it again. This book gets straight to the point. He shares his experiences and those of others in his seminars that have reached the sacred space within the heart, and he explains the processes and techniques he uses to enter this space. Reading this book will leave you remembering something you have always known. Doing the meditations and entering the sacred place will change your life!

"Long ago, we humans used a form of communication and sensing that did not involve the brain in any way. Rather, it came from a sacred space within our heart." Drunvalo Melchizedek.

This place within our heart is a place to which most of us have had access. As children, many of us, though not all, can remember having lived in a world when we jumped out of bed at the start of a new day, a time when there was a spring to our step, sparks in our eyes and joy in our heart from the sheer pleasure of living. A time when we did not doubt ourselves, our power, or the impact we had on others.

Modern life, which can also be called, 'living by the mind', has taken a good deal of this enchantment away from us. We have collectively forgotten, or at least chosen to forget, that we are also powerful beings, that each of our cells, has a distinct power and an identity that challenges our imagination. In this work, Drunvalo Melchizedek, takes the blinkers off his eyes and tells us what he sees. He tells us also of others who see the same things that he does, as he recounts fascinating excerpts of his conversations with a blind woman employed by NASA, children in China and Mexico, who are being examined for their supersensory tactile perception and indigenous tribes from New Zealand and the Americas (both South and North) among others. In this space of the heart that he describes, co-creation becomes self-evident and miracles, the norm.

Finally, Drunvalo delineates the Mer-ka-ba meditation (the guided meditation is also provided on an attached CD) and discusses the wondrous possibility of co-creation, or getting what you want, from the sacred space of the heart.

A book to enjoy and treasure, to read and to re-read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Living in the Heart- How to Enter the Sacred Space within the Heart, May 11, 2007
This review is from: Living in the Heart: How to Enter into the Sacred Space Within the Heart (Paperback)
I felt that this book and CD were an excellent combination. The book was particularly good as it helped to confirm ideas and thoughts that I thought were peculiar to me. At the same time it helped to expand my horizons especially with the CD to use as an actual practical exercise. The meditations on the CD were/are very beneficial to anyone wanting to extend their understanding of their own beliefs and life choices. Thankyou

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful message from the Kogi, July 2, 2006

This review is from: Living in the Heart: How to Enter into the Sacred Space Within the Heart (Paperback)
Once again, Drunvalo has shared a precious jewel with us!

I have been conscious of the beautiful Kogi from Columbia since the mid 80s when I first saw the BBC documentary about them. I was drawn to them deeply and felt a very strong kinship with them. For years I have wanted to visit them, not fully understanding why I felt so close to them, like family.

Several years ago, I heard that they had contacted Drunvalo and I actually wrote him a letter asking him to take me with him if he got to go visit them in their homeland.

It was not meant to be but when I discovered this book, it was as though they had come to me through Drunvalo to give me a personal message. I was thrilled and read the book with anticipation and joy!

The book is written in typical Drunvalo style, easy to read and understand, as well as exciting. Having taken the Merkaba meditation course and also a workshop using Slim Spurling's tools, I was familiar with the first part of the book, as well.

There was a bit of majical synchronicity working in my life at the time since I was also beginning to read about the Daoist meditation called the "Inner Smile". Although the two meditations are different, I believe that they just may achieve the same results eventually...taking us into the sacred heart space.

I highly recommend this book for those who are seeking a deeper understanding and connection to their own heart and soul, thereby experiencing the oneness of all things.

Drunvalo also includes a CD with the meditation to aid us in the process. It is an exhilirating thought that I, too, may experience a connection with the Kogi through the sacred space within my own heart!

Thank you Drunvalo for sharing this wonderful adventure and experience with the rest of the world!

This is a superb continuation of the Flower of Life Volumes 1 & 2. Once again, Drunvalo has compiled a tremendous depth of information and parlayed it in an easy to understand manner. I am grateful for his willingness to seek his truth and share it so that we can all live a little bit better. The meditation is profound.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enter the magical world of this man, September 30, 2008

This review is from: Living in the Heart: How to Enter into the Sacred Space Within the Heart (Paperback)
Simple, direct, yet profound. Rings true and strikes a cord. Any book that I read 3 times and can't let go of, says a lot. This man's life is filled with higher purpose and synchronicity, and amazing phenomena. He doesn't try to come up with answers for everything, or even a whole lot, he just tells his story and draws you in, deeply. I sensed humility and an absolute devotion to his higher purpose, avoiding unnecessary distraction and minutia. And after sharing his fascinating experiences and discoveries, he leaves you with detailed instructions and a CD (included with the book). The only complaint I have is that I want this book to be much longer.
