5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Get Enough of Living In the Land of Enough January 4, 2012
By Heidi
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm not one who's going to go to the extreme of moving into a small house or give up all of my clothes to wear a single black dress for a year. That's why I love Courtney's approach to living simply: creating life-long changes to our daily tasks that are actually easy to accomplish. I'm so excited to get started! Her tips like when to answer e-mails, ways to lead a more effective workday and even how to make that bathroom scale read a lower number are all easy steps to help me help myself and create the life I crave. I especially loved her approach to debt reduction and spending habits, definite tips I'm taking to the bank. To put money in instead of taking it out! Great book Courtney, thank you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short book. Lifelong lessons. December 14, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I've been a fan of Courtney Carver since I first discovered her blog in late 2010. Not only is her writing straightforward and approachable, it is authentic and passionate. Living in the Land of Enough is a great little eBook with an amazing price considering all the thoughts, tips, and suggestions it presents. With web links and viewable examples, Carver again shows us that living with less can actually mean living for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Enough To Inspire January 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I find many minimalist authors take their philosophy to extremes, but I've always enjoyed Courtney's practical approach. This little book can be read in 30 minutes. You've heard it all before. But have your implemented it? Courtney shares points and further reading to help you there.

I particularly liked her "closet sorting" approach. It acknowledges we hold onto stuff, not because we need it, but because we like it or it has emotional value. An excellent reminder of what's important.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good! October 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I picked up this book thinking that it would be a good read about parring down my stuff, but it was so much more than that. It was very much the accumulation of stuff vs. the intentional possession of key things from a spiritual perspective. Love!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on minimalism! July 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Courtney Carver's book, "Living in the Land of Enough", is a minimalism gem. I've been disappointed with some books on minimalism which seem to have too few words with absolutely no depth. Courtney's book is beautifully edited, in that every word she writes is thought out and useful. Her ideas are very practical, too. I am a fan of her blog Be More with Less and her Project 333 program.

If you are familiar with Leo Babauta's books on minimalism and his blog zenhabits, you will definitely enjoy the writings of Courtney Carver as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars repetitive and rudimentary, but helpful February 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I would recommend this book if you are simply thinking about simplifying your life. If you have other minimalist literature, I would not suggest this book since it is really laid out for a beginner or someone who has never grasped the idea. The language is horribly repetitive and impersonal, which is my main problem with the book. However, the book is cheap so you don't have too much to lose. Who knows, it could help you.
