This is a neat thing for classroom use or family use. My family enjoys reading it and adding to their grammatical understanding as well as having bite-size sentences to practice. It's not always the most useful sentence, but for what it is, I do like it. Even for half a year, I would say it's a good buy. Perhaps high school and up only. I often use the phrases and have my classes act them out or illustrate them for added practice - a good check for me to see how much they understand just by picking up on context clues!Sra. I was very disappointed in this product. I was expecting it to have sentances like " hello how are you, can you help me?, everyday phrases that you can use that day. Not "erica is wearing a short skirt again." All of January was really way out there phrases or sentances. It really starts getting to where you learn useful sentances after Feb. 12. Maybe the rest of the calander will make up for the beginning.... I hope so. If you want to learn a little spanish, this is the calander for you.....

I am a Spanish teacher. The Living Language Spanish: Page a Day Series of calendars come in other languages too. They are fun, entertaining and instructional. They are not intended to be a substitute for a language program. They do offer tidbits of trivia, helpful phrases (some quite amusing) and a little phonetic help with pronunciation.I give them sometimes as prizes for my high school students and for the people I tutor. They get a big kick out of them. Definitely recommended.
