5.0 out of 5 stars I Love These Calendars!
I get these every year to "brush up on my French" daily. They are fun and informative. My only complaint is that every year there are some grammatical errors. But I have found this to be the case with other language calendars too, not just Living Language.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed -expectations too high?
Thought there'd be a photo of France or something French on each page, plus the French phrase with translation, plus an area for jotting down a daily note(like appointments etc).... BUT- quite cheap looking plain paper with only a phrase/translation and day/month. Not a patch on my previous day calender which had very nice quality paper & a scene per day...

5.0 out of 5 stars Maintaining a second language proficiency, February 17, 2010

I've been using the Day-to-Day French Calendar for 3 years in order to maintain my proficiency in French, besides listening occasionally to French radio, and it really works! Every morning as I shave, I review the phrase or sentence and verbalize it, thus practicing reading, speech, and adding new vocabulary.

I love flipping to a new page each day to see what the new phrase or history lesson will be. I just wish there were pictures!

Overall very disappointed. I admit my expectations were high. Also the CD is so basic it doesn't have the capacity to slow the French speaker down, making it difficult to clearly distinguish words. Weird titles don't make sense! Wouldn't buy again unless it's much improved in future.
