Geat First Place Study!
Just wanted to say, I'm in this study right now with a friend and it is really, really good. It takes you back to the basics. This is a great study that helps with knowing/feeling Gods grace ~ While tieing in why it's important to love our "temple" and accept our Legacy in Christ. With out doubt - a study to NOT pass up... A poor entry in an otherwise good series of Bible studies
Although I am not part of the First Place program, I have done several of their Bible studies and have benefited from each of them. That being said, I found this one to be quite a bit below par. "Living the Legacy" purported to be a study of Ephesians but it did not go into the book in any real depth. I found the questions rather formulaic, i.e. we'll ask...

Although I am not part of the First Place program, I have done several of their Bible studies and have benefited from each of them. That being said, I found this one to be quite a bit below par.
"Living the Legacy" purported to be a study of Ephesians but it did not go into the book in any real depth. I found the questions rather formulaic, i.e. we'll ask a question and you look up the answer in the Bible. Other studies in the series have had many questions that promoted real self-examination, but this one didn't. Also, I thought the daily sections were too short. Most were just over a page. That may sound like a lot but if you removed all the blank space for answers you'd find there wasn't much material there.

Best Bible Study EVER!,

The First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, Florida, started a First Place class November 2006. We are on our seventh First Place Bible Study Series book, and although we haven't had huge, laudable weight-loss successes, our group is comfortable with mild weight loss through the education of healthy eating with the "Live-It plan", and the increased spirituality and emotional health brought about with the daily Bible lessons. We are a Senior Community, and slow metabolisms are our major issue. There is no height to our praise of the daily Bible lessons! The hymn, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" comes to mind trying to describe what this study series means to each class participant.
