This gutsy Texan not only tells you how to turn your life around, she has done it herself and won't let you NOT do the same. You'd do well to let her stand behind you as you become the person you always wanted to be. Even literary Kirkus Reviews gives her a thumbs-up!

Paula Renaye has put her heart, soul and personal life experiences into this book. Using her powerful communication skills she has created a living guide for those seeking refuge from the storm. The author, in a very matter-of-fact way challenges the reader to look within but that is not all this book is about. Ms. Renaye has organized Living the Life You Love in such a way that transforms your healing and growth into the life you dream of. If you are looking for strategies that will get you where you want to be, then this book will take you there but you need to courageously look at yourself and be honest. If you diligently work the exercises in this book, be prepared for an amazing transformation into the life you love.

Ray Erickson, author of Ten Tips to Tame Your Teen.

I read the first incarnation of this book, under a different title, and I enjoyed it - it was a decent self-help book. But when Paula took on board the feedback to that book, and her growing self-awareness and wisdom, she ended up creating a much more satisfying, much more helpful guide to living a great life.

And that book is Living the Life You Love!, which I loved reading.

I'm not particularly a fan of self-help authors who seem to claim, via their book, that they have all the answers, that they no longer make mistakes etc. And, of course, Paula Renaye is not one of those types of authors: she knows her stuff, all right, but she never claims to be the finished article. She shares examples in her life where she still struggles, and she shares examples where she's successfully taken her life in a better direction.

It all boils down to taking personal responsibility for your life - no matter what sort of start you got given, or how some people treated you.

And it's definitely about taking responsibility for those times when, via not knowing any better or via the powerful act of denial, you treated someone badly too. Even if that someone is you.

And this is the message that Paula shares in her book.

Some sample words that sum things up nice nicely:

"Choosing the no-nonsense, tough love approach takes courage... it's not about beating yourself up over where you are in this moment... [Instead,] acknowledge the past, accept responsibility... and focus on making better choices now." -- Paula Renaye

To be honest, I rarely recommend that people read self-help books these days.
