5.0 out of 5 stars great!!!, June 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Living Machine (Audio CD)
The guitar wizardry of Mark Stanley is one of music's best kept secrets. Also endowed with the rare gift of great songwriting, lyrics and vocals, Stanley belongs in the small category of great musicians who are also great writer's alongside Hendrix, Eric Mathews and Paul Simon. Classic******

Mark Stanley is one of my favorite artists of the new millennium. Amazing songwriting. The song "Living Machine" is an anthem of epic proportions. Unbelievable range. I can't wait to hear what he does next.

5.0 out of 5 stars EP leaves you wanting more!, July 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Living Machine (Audio CD)
This latest EP from Mark Stanley is an amalgamation of enough diversity among the songs to hold one's interest and his developed, grounded style that is pervasive throughout. Stanley's vocals are at times Morrissey-esque warm and soothing, and at others intense and edgy. His consummate musicianship and talent shine through his intricate song writing, arranging, and instrumental playing. The unique yet beautiful melodies of his songs, on top of the thick textures he creates, are satisfying to the ear. If you are looking for something different yet accessible, you will not be disappointed. What's next, Mark Stanley?
