The story is one of physical, verbal, emotional and mental abuse. The book recounts many traumatic experiences, like the stories of so many families in our society. Families who continue to suffer silently and secretly within their own dysfunctional structure. Eventually, the secrets become their internalized fears, preventing any normal connection with the outside world, or inner connection to a higher power - that which we call God.
The story leads us from a near-death experience to an encounter with an earth-bound ghost, who continues to appear, seen through a child's eyes. Next we are introduced to a guardian angel named Emma, whose existence is resisted and feared. A life-saving event occurs, and we are asked to accept - once more - that there is life after death.
From guardian spirits to guiding lights, the reader also becomes a traveler on this journey, and is carried away on a cosmic adventure. These stories challenge our own fears and spiritual beliefs. They allow us to question and probe within ourselves for the unbelievable and yet attainable.
