Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
Aaron Lines hails from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, a remote little town 300 miles north of Edmonton. Living Out Loud, his debut, is a solid, if undistinguished, slab of heartland rock that recalls the work of fellow countryman Bryan Adams and, at times, John Mellencamp circa 1985. With the help of producer Chris Farren, Lines has crafted a set that initially sounds slick and powerful, but one that is ultimately undermined by trite lyrics and hackneyed musical ideas that were hackneyed years ago. Still, his freshly scrubbed look and smooth delivery will likely appeal to younger fans and to those who like their country with a rock edge instead of a down-home twang. --Jim Caligiuri

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, April 9, 2005
By Hannah M. "Beth" (Alaska, USA) - See all my reviews
I had the pleasure of seeing Aaron in concert when I was in Ft. McMurray for the Arctic Winter Games last winter and also got to meet him. I had always loved 'You Can't Hide Beautiful" but had not heard any of his other songs until the concert.
Well, I LOVED his music and he sounds exactly like he does on the radio, which is an added bonus. His voice is so pure and he seems to really be singing from his heart, which it seems like lately a lot of musicians are not.
I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who likes catchy, but meaningful songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aaron will be here for years to come, February 11, 2003
By Michelle (Timmins, ON Canada) - See all my reviews
Aaron's first cd on a record label is so fantastic it's hard to put it in to words. Every single song shows his beautiful and sexy voice singing with emotion. He's also from Canada, which adds to the touch. I had the opportunity to meet him back in July of 2001, before he had his record deal. He is a wonderful guy with a great sense of humor. I can't wait to see what will come next from this talented and handsome newcomer. His cd is a fantastic addition to any collection of true country fans. Keep up the great work Aaron! You're doing just wonderful. Can't wait to see you again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent "debut", January 16, 2003
By K. Stuckey "kateling" (Port Huron, MI USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)

Aaron Lines is a man in love and it reflects in his music. He has been touring and winning over fans in Canada for years and now it's time for the US to meet him with his major label debut. There are a couple of songs on this CD that are carryovers from his independent label Canadian CD - Love Changes Everything. "Love Changes Everything" is a very pop-influenced song about doing the right thing, and being a better person for it. The title track of this CD is an upbeat song about seizing the moment. Most people will recognize Aaron from his first US song "You Can't Hide Beautiful", a great song about the perfection of being imperfect. "Close" is a great ballad, it gives me chills. But Aaron likes to kick it up too - "I Will Be There" and "Turn It Up (I Like the Sound of That)" are both rockin' songs. Especially fun on this CD is "You Get The Picture".

Vince Gill sings "Everybody's waiting for the next big thing" and I think Aaron Lines is it!
