Let me start by saying that I accepted Christ about 7 years ago. I love the Lord. I realize that the Lord still has a lot to teach me. And I'm willing to go with Him anywhere He leads. Let me start by saying that I accepted Christ about 7 years ago. I love the Lord. I realize that the Lord still has a lot to teach me. And I'm willing to go with Him anywhere He leads. I feel like I'm living close to God and that I am spiritually discerning. After all, I have His Holy Spirit living in me. I say all of this to say that Dr. Schuller scares me. I have seen His TV broadcast on a number of occasions and it would appear that he preaches alot about the power of positive thinking. While I am not against positive thought, I feel that the real power is in the Holy Spirit. The way to unlock that power is to surrender completely to God. All our thoughts, all our burdens, our very lives. Then, God can begin to use us in very powerful ways. There is something about Dr. Schuller that is unsettling to my spirit. I'm not sure what his motivation is. I do not mean any disrespect to Dr. Schuller. When I listen to Charles Stanley, or Chuck Swindoll, or Billy Graham, or Tony Evans, or Greg Laurie, or Max Lucado I do not get the same uneasy feeling in my spirit.
