All Bocephus fans need this book...,
By Doug DePew "Author of "SAT & BAF!"" (Missouri, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Living Proof (Paperback)
Anybody that's a Hank Williams, Jr. fan should own "Living Proof". It is a great book! It's written well, and it's clear that Hank didn't just ghost write it with Michael Bane. Hank's voice shows through all the way through the book.
This is a very interesting account of Hank's life spanning his early childhood and his father's death all the way to the late '70s when the book came out. It really is an interesting ride. I found the descriptions of his accident in the mountains chilling. He goes into great detail about what happened and his recovery. Hank is a much more complicated man than he lets on. This book shares some of his deepest thoughts, and they help explain him as a human being. If you saw the movie "Living Proof", you should expect much more from the book. The movie wasn't bad, but it was a made for TV movie. Much of what's in the book couldn't be included in the movie. If you are a Hank, Jr. fan, you must own this book. Buy one while you can. It's great.

Living Proof The autobiography of Hank Williams Jr,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Living Proof (Paperback)
I had originally bought this book when it first came out in paperback back in 1983 when the tv movie came out. Over the years my copy got lost and I repurchased here on amazon.com. I reread it several times. I hope Mr. Williams writes an update to this book
