Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Reiki is the energy of life. In the Usui System of Natrual healing, this energy is honored and used as a guide in daily life. It offers a simple path to perceive and experience our lives as a sacred honorable experience. These stories are illustrations from the life of a woman who lived the Reiki teachings. They are funny and serious, happy and sad, reflecting her own upbringing and always demonstrating her deep trust in the Life Energy. The stories also show the growth of Takata's healilng power and the simplicity with which she accepted it. From humble beginnings, she became a great figure of strength, loved and respected by all who knew her.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book for experienced Reiki people, January 28, 1998
This review is from: Living Reiki: Takata's Teachings (Paperback)
Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although it gave me much to think about, this is not the book for people wanting to learn about Reiki. The descriptions of some of the events of Takatas life will perhaps seem unbelievable, especially to the Western mind set. Someone with a bit more experience with Reiki who realizes its boundlessness will appreciate this book more fully.

This review is from: Living Reiki: Takata's Teachings (Paperback)
It is nice to have this book just to be in touch with the Master, in some way. But do not expect to learn much from it.

If you are serious about Reiki then this is your book. No crap, no Bull just the real deal. However don't expect out-of-this-world stuff.
The simplicity of her words transpires what many are trying to express in the many many books, web sites, blogs, etc that are out there.
