I heard a piece of "The Living Room Sessions" through Pandora radio. I stopped working on my computer because it was so beautiful. I have never heard his voice before so I guess I never missed that part! Yes, the music is relaxing but I would also say it's...so many 'deep' adverbs I would start to embarrass myself! I find it very heart touching and thoughtful. I truly have become a fan, just by chance. It's a 5 star all the way.

I ran across this cd on Pandora and it's one of my favorites. I'm a Chris Rice fan, but had NO idea he had put out an instrumental hymns cd. It's beautiful!

I absolutely adore Chris Rice. In fact, he's on my top 5 favorite performers list. However, this CD is instrumental only, which was very upsetting considering how much I paid for it and how much I was looking forward to hearing it. I had searched through all the descriptions and not found the "instrumental only" warning anywhere, so I had really, really been looking forward to hearing Chris' warm and fun voice and getting his individual take on these beautiful songs. This makes for a decent in-the-background, going-to-sleep CD but it's not worth buying if you're going for anything more than that. You can find these instrumentals done elsewhere, and you can enjoy his other works much more. Maybe I would have felt differently if I had been forewarned- after all, I have been known to purchase instrumental-only CDs in the past- but I wasn't, so I don't.
