A must-have for Level 42 fans (and great introduction as well),
By
This review is from: Living It Up (Deluxe Edition Boxset) (MP3 Download)
This 4-disc mp3 set, currently only $27, is an anthology that is especially great if you are a long-time Level 42 fan like I am (the one band I have been following since the 80's that I still love in spite of my taste in music changing a lot over the years :) ).There are some previously unreleased songs/demos that are cool (e.g "Untitled 1990") and a whole disc with acoustic versions of songs that are usually also arranged in a new and creative way, putting a fresh spin on them ("Overtime" has a particularly cool arrangement). All of their top hits, both older and newer, are also included, sometimes in slightly different arrangements/versions (but 100% true to the original if not the original). If you are a long-time Level 42 fan, you should DEFINITELY buy this. If you are not but you really enjoy some of their songs and want to appreciate them more fully by exploring their music spanning the 80's/90's and even 2000's, then you should snag it as well. Enjoy!!

Live with Allan Holdsworth!,
This review is from: Living It Up (Audio CD)
Disc Three contains a live take at the Hammersmith Odeon,December 1990 with the legendary Allan Holdsworth on guitar!I knew he joined the tour after recording the Guaranteed album, but there was no live sources at the past. The solo on "Love Meeting Love" is brilliant!
