For anyone who is considering a wolfdog companion, this book tells you what to expect. There is no exaggering. Nicole Wilde speaks the truth. For those of us who have wolfgogs, it gives a lot of helpful hints for those problem situations. Great info!!!

Weather you already share your life with a wolfdog, are considering one, or just interested in learning more, this is THE ONE book you cannot be without! Living with Wolfdogs is considered to be the wolfdog owner's bible, and rightly so. Nicole Wilde's years of experience working with wolfdogs abounds from cover to cover in this concise, straightforward book aimed at every aspect of wolfdog care. Nicole manages to pour volumes of insight, knowledge and advice into the pages of this outstanding little book that no one who loves wolfdogs should be without.

This book is a must for anyone who is considering a wolfdog or for especially a new owner. Its packed full of tips, hints, great pictures and essential information. The author has a sense of humor, which you must have to own one of these animals. A step by step guide I won't be without.

There is not a lot of information available on wolf hybrids, and it seems a lot of what is out there is biased either to suggest that they are great pets for anyone, or
that they are evil creatures who should be banned or euthanized. Wilde's book gives straightforward, helpful information without a bias, although you can tell that she loves these animals. She goes over things you should consider before buying a wolf hybrid like containment, commitment of time and money, and legalities in your area. She gives helpful concrete information like how to build an "escape-proof" pen, how to introduce a new member to your existing pack, nutritional requirements, veterinary consideraitons, and so many other things that you will find yourself referring back to. The book is also written in a friendly tone and is quite humorous in places. I highly recommend it, along with her other wolf hybrid book "Wolfdogs A-Z: Behavior, Training and More."

I'm not sure what book the previous poster was reading, because this book most definitely gives both sides of wolfdog ownership. (Read the rest of the reviews, they're more realistic.) It outlines both the wonderful things about these animals, and covers in detail the possible difficulties. Wilde covers how wolfdogs can be escape artists, destructive, in some cases not as reliable in training as normal dogs, and a lot more. I like how she maintains a chatty, warm tone that is still very informative. And although she obviously has a great love for wolfdogs she is careful about painting a realistic picture of what living with them is like. I liked the Wolfdogs A-Z book as well and am looking forward to buying the new 2nd edition of Living with Wolfdogs.

This is an excellent book. A must read for anyone who shares their life or is considering sharing their lives with a wolfdog. A practical easy to follow guide to overcomming common behavior issues concerning wolfdogs. This book is informative and her writing style is direct and to the point so you don't fall asleep. I can't praise this book enough! May I also recommend her book Wolfdogs A-Z an excellent companion book with a bit more detail.

This book is a great introduction for anyone who's living with or thinking of living with a wolfdog. It's short and easy to read, with lots of good pictures. It also provides a fair view of the potential pitfalls of wolfdog ownership, without overly glamorizing or demonizing these wonderful creatures. A wolfdog is not the pet for everyone. This book can help you decide if it might not be the right pet for you...before you find out too late that it isn't.

Nichole's book can be considered the ultimate primer for those interested in keeping wolfdogs, or even for those who are just interested in these unique animals. This book, and Nichole's other book, "Wolfdogs, A to Z" should be required reading for animal trainers, behaviorists and veterinary professionals. Ms Wilde Knows her stuff. This is a great book for anyone who owns a dog, wolf-dog or not

An easy to read and very user oriented book. Nicole's easy going style mixed with her insight and knowledge makes this a must read for anyone with any kind of dog but especially a wolfdog. Her training methods are easily understood and from first had experience they work. I enjoyed this book and have read it several times. It is my wolfdog bible.
