*Not* the Gospel according to J.P. Ryan
Just to make it *absolutely* clear, this was written by a priest from somewhere in the Republic Of Ireland, and not somebody with the same name from Maryland, USA. It is possible that someone may be concurrently interested in the works of both authors; but perhaps not very likely.
