I currently teach two lower level science courses with this book. I absolutely love McGraw-Hill and this book. The book is easy to follow and educational at the same time. It also has a website with quizzes, flashcards, notes, etc.

This book is very detailed and at the same time easy to read. It is quite helpful for my bio 100 course I am taking this semester.

i need this book for my college biology class. at my school they sell it for $167... but here on amazon i bought it for about $8. totally worth it. sure the corners are a little beat up, but it arrived right on time and i have no complaints. and some of the important parts of the book are even underlined by the previous owner. which is always a plus! lol

Terrible textbook...good luck if you take a class using it. Long boring chapters that really ended up putting me to sleep....

I have been using this textbook for a beginning biology class. It is intended to teach all the basics of biology and - setting aside all my thoughts and feelings about the education system - it is doing its job for me. It clearly explains such biological concepts as evolution, genetics, and cell division and the information is up-to-date. As far as standard textbooks go it's readable and - at the same time - serves its purpose.

This is the first time I've ordered text books online and I was very impressed. The book was in great shape and they came within two weeks. I'll definitely be looking for my summer semester books from this same person.

It was easy to tell which book i needed on Amazon. I simply bought it and within 3 days it was at my doorstep

Delivery was quick, merchandise was exactly like described, seller was great A+ and will definitely buy again.

Well when I purchased the product the condition said Used-Like New... and when I received the product this was not the case...the first page was ripped this didn't bother me too much because it is not needed, but as you look through the book a lot of pages were crumpled as if they had been wet.

This book was shipped in a very timely manner and the product is in perfect shape. Thanks
