I have own an outdoor products hydropack and anyone who owns one knows that you can't remove the screw-like body of the bite valve. Although this made the installation of the sleeve difficult, it was stretchy enough to slowly worm its way onto the tube.
Overall, it did its job; it kept the water in the tube from freezing and I was able to enjoy the refreshing taste of Denver's natural spring water during the spring season (snowboarding).

I bought this product, not to keep the water from freezing, but because I live in Texas, and it is HOT. While biking, I would grab a quick drink from my Camelbak MULE (which I HIGHLY recommend) and the first mouthful would be hot water. YUCK! Not the refreshment value I was seeking.
This keeps the temperature down considerably! It is easy to install, and insulates the tube almost all the way down to the water bag. I like the fact that it is blue also since black holds heat even more. I do wish the neoprene was a little thicker so it would do an even better job of insulating (thus 4 stars instead of 5), but overall it was well worth the money. I would purchase it again and would recommend it to a friend (and already have).
