4. What Dreams Are Made Of (Ballad Version): 10/10. Pretty song.

5. Shining Star: 6/10. Don't really like Jump 5.

6. Volare: 100/10! This song rocks too. Vitamin C did a good job with this one.

7. Open Your Eyes (To Love): 4/10. Skip this one.

8. You Make Me Feel Like A Star (Lizzie Mix): 6/10. Not worth repeating.

9. Supermodel: 8/10. Cool fluff song.

10. What Dreams Are Made Of: 100/10! Love it. Cool beat. Good job Hilary! (or should i say "Lizzie")

11. On An Evening In Roma: 10/10. Gotta love it.

12. Girl In The Band: 1/10. Skip it. Enough said.

13. Orchestral Suite From The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Score): 100/10! Good score. Creates a feeling of excitement. However, I;d skip it if you aren't an Original Score type of person.

14. Why Not (McMix): 7/10. Okay song.

Like I said, this is an OKAY soundtrack. However, songs 3, 6 and 10 are a highlight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than I thought it would be!, July 28, 2003
By
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
Okay, first of all, I would like to say that I am *NOT* a fan of the show Lizzie McGuire or Hilary Duff, but borrowed the CD from a friend, looking for some different music. Well, I found it - and the CD isn't half bad!

The highlights of the CD are definately the energy-infused pop songs including: Shining Star (Jump5) - an amazing remake it's fun, fast, and energetic, totally fits the movie. Why Not and the Why Not remix (Hilary Duff) - I don't really like Hilary DUff, but the songs ARE great. They really fit the movie, and make you want to dance. The Tide is High (Atomic Kitten) - The first song I've heard by this band, its great! Has a great message and awesome vocals!

Those songs are great, and there are more great ones, but the mediocre ones really really stink. SOme of the disappointments on the CD are: Valore (Vitamin C) - I don't know if she's trying to make a comeback with this song, but it isn't gonna happen. This song is just pitiful! All Around the World (Cooler Kids) - Whoa, who are the singers!? I've never heard of them, and this is NOT a convincing breakout song. It's really annyoing and the vocals are not good.

The rest of the songs on the CD are good, like the song Girl in the Band, by Haylie Duff (Hilary's sister) which is great. IMO she's a better singer than Hilary. LMNT also has a great song on this CD. Recommended for pop fans, or fans of Hilary Duff.

Overall grade: B

5.0 out of 5 stars The Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack, June 8, 2003
A Kid's Review

I love the Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack! My sister and I listens to it very often. I often surf the net with the music on, too. Our favorites are "Why Not", "The Tide Is High", "What Dreams Are Made Of"(Hilary Duff), "Why Not(McMix)" and others, but these are the ones that I listened to most often. If you didn't get one yet, go get one now. I guaranteed you're going to love it. Also, I think it'll be an ideal gift for a friend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD for ALL AGES!, June 6, 2003
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
One of my close friends bought this CD, and told me that she absolutely loved it. Well, I decided to listen to a few songs, and found that she was right. This was an excellent CD. Here's what I thought of The Lizzie McGuire CD (my little sister's favorite TV show on DYSNEY).

1) Songs: This really does have a bunch of great artists contributing to make a great CD. To begin with, Hillary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) has a beaughtiful voice, as well as great acting, and her songs are just fun to listen to. Her hit single, "Why Not" is something I listen to quite often, and really is a great song. "What Dreams Are Made Of" has an awsome beat, and is a favorite of mine as well. Pop Singers like LMNT, Jump 5, Atomic Kitten, and Vitamin C make this truly a great album. "Tide Is High" is a a great song to listen too, LMNT has a great slow song, etc... It just goes on. This CD has a little of everything, and is great as a Birthday Gift for girls and even some boys ages 10-14 or so. I myself (16) enjoyed it, and would buy this CD for myself any day (shhhhhhhh, dont tell anyone!!!). It just has great music, and I know I'm not the only young (male) adult enjoying this CD.

2) Quality: This CD has a ton of songs you will listen too dozens of times over and over. It has a little bit of everything, from sweet hip hop to slow romance. It has a great collection of young artists, and is just a great CD.

The thing I really liked about this CD is it's message. Take a chance, believe in your dreams, and never give up. It's something my little sister pops in the CD player after a rough day at school, or to just kick back and relax. It makes a great Birthday Gift, and well, overall, gets 5 stars from me.

Great CD, lots of great songs, great artists. Hillary Duff, in my opinion, can sing.

Enjoy the CD! I reccomend it 100% Every song from the movie I believe is on here. It was Lizzie's first (and last), get it while you can. Great CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite CD!, September 29, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
I love this cd! It is great! I got it for my birthday and now I listen to it all the time!
#1.Why Not- Excellent, It gets you to dancing in 2 sec. In 4 sec. your singing with Hilary Duff!
#2.The Tide is High- This song is great. It is soft and fast. You can dance anyway you want and it will go great.
#3. All Around the World- O.K., but it's not my favorite. It does have a beat though.
#4. What Dreams are Made Of- Short and Sweet!
#5. Shining Star- Another great song , good to dance to and sing to!
#6.Volare*- One of my favorites,it's sweet and has an excellent beat!
#7. Open your eyes to Love- So Sweet! I love it. It calms you and makes you want to cry!
#8.You Make Me Feel Like a Star-My absolute favorite. Listened to it twice and now I can't get enough of it.Great beat and lyrics.Sweet, but still fun to dance to.
#9. Supermodel- Fun to dance and listen to, not good to do your homework with. You want to act like a supermodel!!HaHa
#10.What Dreams are Made Of- Great, what the whole movie is about. Give you enough energy to do anything and stays in your head!
#11.An Evening in Roma- Great, old, romantic, song that takes you back in time.
#12.Girl in the Band-The only song I refuse to listen to on the whole cd!!!! It is selfish and unable to dance to. I like Hilary Duff, but her sister needs to work on her songs.
#13.Orchestral Suite from the movie- Great. Not too soft, not too fast. I'm not a huge fan of classical music, but this is great.I am able to listen to the music I like and do my homework without being distacted!
#14.Why Not(McMix)-Great, you really have to keep up if your going to sing along, but not toooo much, and your still able to dance to it and tell what Hilary Duff is saying!
I would highly recommend that you buy this cd! My friends and I have it and my sister listens to it all the time, along with my little brother.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dazzling, killer smile, April 28, 2003
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
I compare my current fascination with Lizzie to people's fascination with the pop version of 50 Cent - like the underground 50, Lizzie's been around for awhile but it's only recently that I noticed her. Well for starters, she's almost 16 now, but that's beside the point. I saw the movie trailer for the movie, and immediately decided to see it, and purchased the disc. Wow, Lizzie/Hilary looks so cute in that movie, and what a smile! Now I ain't gonna be like my boy JD, who calls all blonde girls "Lizzie McGuire" but I gotta say that this CD is great, especially Hilary's songs. Their catchy and poppy. The other songs are kind of wack, especially the no name artists. I guess Hilary's sis Haylie can sing too, that song is another one of them "pop classics" I guess. I recommend that y'all see this movie and purchase the disc.

This CD is great. I listen to it all the time. And since it has a few old songs, it's the kind of CD your parents won't mind if you play!

"Why Not" Hilary Duff-My favourite song on the album! It's really a fun up-beat song that's really easy to dance to.

"The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)" Atomic Kitten-This song is a very good by Atomic Kitten. I didn't like this song until I heard this new version. I'm sure you'll like this new version too.

"All Around the World" Cooler Kids-This is a very hip cool song that's perfect for dancing too.

"What Dreams Are Made Of (Ballad Version)" Paolo & Isabella- This song is slow, but I like it, even though I'm not a big fan of slow songs.

"Shining Star" Jump5- I didn't really like the beggining, but it's a great song to sing along too.

"Volare" Vitamin C- On the album, they say this song wasn't on the movie, but it was, and that was a good choice of putting it on the movie, because this song is great.

"Open Your Eyes to Love" LMNT- This is the only song I didn't like of the album, but some people I know like it, so you may too.

"You Make Me Feel Like A Star" The Beu Sisters- This song is okay, it has a catchy beat.

"Supermodel" Taylor Dayne- This song is so much fun and easy to dance too.

"What Dreams Are Made Of" Hilary Duff- This song is excellent, it'll make you wan to get up, dance, and sing along.

"On An Evening In Roma" Dean Martin- This is an old song that fits with the title, and it's pretty good.

"Girl In the Band" Haylie Duff- In this song you find out not only Hilary, but her sister has a great voice. I like this song because it's fast, and a good dance song.

"Orchastrel Suite" Cliff Eidelman- It doesn't have words, but it's a good beat.

"Why Not (Remix)" Hilray Duff- This song is great, and a good remix.

So if you really liked the movie, or even if you didn't, I would buy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice!, July 18, 2003
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
I go this CD for my daughter, as a special reward. It's an eclectic collection of fourteen tunes from the Lizzie McGuire Movie. This CD has everything, including a blast from the past in the form of Dean Martin singing On An Evening In Roma. My daughter loves listening to this CD, and even an old fogy like me can get into it. This is a very nice CD, not too hard and not too soft. My daughter and I both highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars great soundtrack, May 17, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Audio CD)
i thought that this soundtrack was great! although a bit bubble-gummy, it made the listening all the more enjoyable and was really fun filled and high spirited... it kinda bugged me that a song by haylie duff (hillary's sister) was on it because its not even in the movie! her song was ok but didnt really deserve a place on the list. Dean Martin's "an evening in roma" addition gave this cd a nice taste aswell as the new renditions of many other songs that were on it. The movie was also extremely good and ill be going back for more!
