Super Summer,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lizzie McGuire: A Very Lizzie Summer (Lizzie McGuire (Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
In this story, A Very Lizzie Summer, Miranda, Lizzie, and Gordo have an amazing summer. Gordo takes on being the biggest trendsetter in town, just because of Matt's so-called dorky haircut. Can a haircut really change a guy? Meanwhile, Lizzie and Miranda are entering the singing and songwriting contest. In order to get the money for an official recording for the contest, they need 2000 bucks. So, Lizzie decides she needs a job. Lizzie and her friends are at the pool and Lizzie sees this hottie lifeguard, and he is looking for a lifeguard assistant. But Lizzie's arch-enemy, Kate Sanders, wants the top spot too. Talk about total humiliation! Miranda meets a really nice guy in an internet chat room. Too good to be true or not? Find out what happens in this super summer story. This story had a lot of comical points. I like it a lot. I gave it four stars instead of five because the end of the story left me hanging.

Good!,
This review is from: Lizzie McGuire: A Very Lizzie Summer (Lizzie McGuire (Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
This book is great! Funny and surprising! I never thought that Gordo would become "popular" and set trends. They should make a movie on this book.
Lizzie and Miranda want to be stars. To their delight, there is a contest on the radio to earn a recording contract! But they soon discover that recording a demo is very expensive. Lizzie and Miranda sign up for a class at their community pool, in hopes for one of them to become the junior lifeguard to earn the money for the demo. Lizzie gets the spot and discovers that it's not all that easy. Gordo and Miranda aren't much help, either. Will Lizzie and Miranda be able to get that demo and will Gordo go back to his normal self? Read this book to find out!

A Very Lizzie Summer,

This review is from: Lizzie McGuire: A Very Lizzie Summer (Lizzie McGuire (Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
Although this story was kinda cute, I thought it was a too predictable. It's a nice summer (or anytime your wishing for summer) read for the younger set, but I recommend you find this on the shelf of the library instead of at the book store.

A PERFECT SERIES OF BOOKS FOR TEEN GIRLS! GREAT! FUN!,
By Betty L. Dravis "BETTY DRAVIS, author/reviewer" (Silicon Valley, CA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Lizzie McGuire: A Very Lizzie Summer (Lizzie McGuire (Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
My granddaughter adores Lizzie McGuire AND Hillary Duff, who plays her in the movies. She's always imitating her actions and her hairstyles, as are all her friends.
I read this book when she finished and see that nothing has changed since I was a girl. Girls are still eyeing the lifeguards and vying for their attention. This author really seems to understand young girls as Lizzie seems very true-to-life. A cute, fun series, very appealing. |
