This is one of those albums that is an aural delight. I am thrilled with it - the combination of the crystalline voice and delicate figurings of the instrument make it an album to play for those contemplative, calm days. A genuine find - if you love minimalist-but-gorgeous music this is for you.

Original & mesmerizing.,

Fantastic CD. There are tracks with Flamenco-style female vocals with the hang drum, and tracks with the hang drum alone. If you've never heard it before, the hang drum instrument will remind you somewhat of a Carribean steel drum. But what Goldschmidt achieves on this CD is an entirely unique sound-- amazingly pure, tranquil, inspiring, tonally & rhythmically mesmerizing. The compositions are quite sequential and are reminiscent of John Adams or Phillip Glass in that regard.
