Llewellyn's 2001 Magical Almanac, August 17, 2000
This review is from: Llewellyn's 2001 Magical Almanac (Paperback)
This book will be a practical and enjoyable book to have when the year 2001 begins. This almanac is full of useful advice and good ideas, like recipes for the sabbat holidays and instruction for the art of sensual massage! The listings of this almanac include the date, day, lunar phase, Moon sign, and color and incense for the day. Much of the information in this book is very useful to me as a beginner at witchcraft, as many of the contributing authors are members of the pagan community. I will have some fun with this book now, during and even after next year!

Great reference to keep on hand, November 11, 2000
This review is from: Llewellyn's 2001 Magical Almanac (Paperback)
This series of books has served well as a reference. I have the last three years that I keep on my bookshelf to refer to. The stories are interesting and invite further study. It has a good way of introducing new ideas that you can explore further if you so desire. It also has a useful calander with moon phases and important alignments. Highly recommended!

This book has something for everyone!, September 5, 2001
This review is from: Llewellyn's 2001 Magical Almanac (Paperback)
This substantially populated book consists of a number of brief poems, recipes, tips, and articles from witches around the world, all concerning historical and practical points of interest relating to the craft, and is, I must say, one of my most used Craft books, and the only Almanac I have ever ordered back issues of! In addition to providing day to day reports of the moon cycle, planetary alignment, suggested incences, colors, and important dates, the subject matter of all other articles is diverse, practical, and interesting to witches of all ages, experience levels, and walks of life. For beginners this year, there are articles on making your own ritual robe, making your own wand, making your own besom, recipes for ritual oils, and more. For more seasoned witches, practical advice on traveling with ritual items, working with runes, folklore about the Whirling Dervishes and Mother Bertha, and more. And for pagan parents, great suggestions of arts and crafts for children. Not to mention, quite a handful of recipes and their history. A must-have!
